I get an email from this woman I've been seeing. Things are getting serious so she says she has to tell me that she has Hep C. She had it before her kids were born and they don't have it. She's since had unprotected sex and none of her partners got it. She told me to check the Mayo clinic Hep C info.

What I got out of this is: drug use with needles is the main culprit. I don't do that. It's blood to blood contamination. Anal sex would be out. I can live with that.

I want to have sex with this woman. Is this a good idea?

Didn't ask. Haven't replied to her email yet. She did have a very respectable job where she was in the limelight: think judge or city mayor. Like that. I don't see her as a drug user. But I only met her a month ago.

Also, I recall her saying something about a transplant. What organ, I don't know. I think she said she didn't do it and things are OK. I've only been out with her 3 times. Lots of questions to be answered. What kind of operations do you need even to see if you need a transplant?

An attractive blond, probably 5'6" and 135 lbs. Last night, I was joking about which restaurant we might go to. Said, "we coud arm wrestle for it." She said, "let's go." My wife got hep c from a blood transfusion given to her during open heart surgery when she was 4. This was in 1978 before they screened blood donations. There are a lot of people who have contracted it this way and don't even know it. She didn't find out until about 20 years later when she tried to donate blood. I haven't contracted it and we've been together for 19 years. We have 2 kids that don't have it either. She went through a treatment last year of about 27 pills a day at one point and a shot once a week. Totally kicked her ass for over a year, but there hasn't been a trace of the disease in her body for about 6 months. It helped she was healthy with no liver damage prior to her treatment.

My situation might be different from yours. I knew my wife for many years before she was diagnosed.

Just don't bareback her. Or if you do, make sure you take a piss right after and wash with a harsh, exfoliating soap.

She didn't tell me in person so I had time to research and assimilate. I think it was a good way to do it.
