I would love it if it turned out all the investors were Glassman's sockpuppets and he fucked over Tony. That would be beautiful.
Re: The couch thread
that would be amazing, wouldn't it?
Re: The couch thread
I dig the motherfuckers saying that the Couch Thread hasn't been relevant since Andro Friday, and meanwhile HQ and the psychophants / toadies / nutriders keep giving us bigger and better cricket bats to flog the dead horse with.
It's beautiful.

Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. - Helen Keller

Nice going!
And if they've made it where if anyone does more than 3 drills together it's considered CrossFit, they got to own this shit.

They certainly have the entire place insured but the design on that is going to make it so it doesn't get replaced in the near future.

Former Crossfit employee and all around unpleasant woman apparently is a bit racist

Then the whole thing turns into a bunch of white women yowling about white male privilegeI love when white male billionaires with two degrees from Stanford advocate for kids NOT to go to college. Yeah, thanks, bud -- skipping college will really help my brown kids get far in this world.

One look at her photo tells me I don't care what she thinks.

Not even sure if she understands how wrong that is. Maybe she should go through the Skilled Trades thread around here and learn a lil' sumthin.Shafpocalypse Now wrote:Former Crossfit employee and all around unpleasant woman apparently is a bit racist

I love elitist attitudes about that shit. College isn't an indicator of success.
Not sure what article she is referring to, but this one makes solid points:

Re: The couch thread
I love it when entitled young people allow their chosen dogmatic thinking to sell them on an undergraduate, or even worse, a graduate degree in a social sciences field with marginal employment prospects like gender studies or political science and when they learn the hard way that they have six figures of debt and can't get an academic job that isn't a bullshit sessional appointment then it's THE MAN'S fault for keeping them down working at Starbucks.
If they had become an electrician or a pipefitter they'd be a damn sight more empowered than what they got from their degree in empathy and fuzzy thinking.

Re: The couch thread
This of course entirely ignores the elephant in the room: which is that Shaf just admitted that he and Darsh are Facebook friends.
Re: The couch thread
fucking shaf.... he just loves to be friends with people he hates
At least I actually like the Russ's, I think they are decent people, Shaf doesn't like Lisbeth

Re: The couch thread
Russ Greene has friended me and defriended me at least 3 times.
Re: The couch thread
That's fair enough, but, you know, if you compare to the guy they're talking about, I mean, if people with two degrees from Stanford, trust me, they'd end up doing okay. Also, Stanford is the sort of school that they don't let their students get into large debt.WildGorillaMan wrote:I love it when entitled young people allow their chosen dogmatic thinking to sell them on an undergraduate, or even worse, a graduate degree in a social sciences field with marginal employment prospects like gender studies or political science and when they learn the hard way that they have six figures of debt and can't get an academic job that isn't a bullshit sessional appointment then it's THE MAN'S fault for keeping them down working at Starbucks.

Pathological liars, and the willfully stupid, however charming, are not capable of being decent people. It's axiomatic.Jay wrote:At least I actually like the Russ's, I think they are decent people,

Re: The couch thread
So is that a good sign or a bad sign for Crossfit that the ire has started to wane? Crossfit seems as popular as ever, yet as watered down and mediocre as ever.Cave Canem wrote:Was this the first time this thread made it to the 2nd page?
