Trump may get the GOP nomination, but that will just help Hillary to win.
I think that's part of the game plan. The big corporate money wants her; like Wall St and corporate media. That's exactly why there has been so little reporting the fact that up until recently Trump has been a pro choice, anti gun, Clinton supporter. Not to mention his extensive failures as a business man.
The know nothing far right religious wackos love him because of his xenophobia and because he says what they want to hear (now).
As you know, I live with a reporter, and she says newsmedia doesn't work that way. But she concedes that having always worked for small companies, she can't speak to the practices of the NBCs of the world.
She says the failure to report on Trump is because of slumping sales and budget cuts, and that certainly is true to an extent.
Anyway, I've long suspected that Trumps candidacy plays into the corporate media/Wall St endgame of getting Hillary elected, and I've seen nothing to convince me that in wrong about it.

While I think your overall thoughts are slightly paranoid WRT Hill/Trump, the only thing I will disagree with you on is his "extensive failures as a businessman".....as a brother IGx'er quoted Gretzky over the phone the other day "you always miss the shot you don't take" but many shots you take will miss. He has done pretty fucking well for himself as a businessman, overall. As extensive as his failures might be, they pale in comparison to his success.
I doubt Trump will get the GOP nomination. Once the field clears a little, the mainstream will consolidate behind someone else (probably Rubio). Once that happens, Hillary will be the underdog. You'll start seeing ads with pictures of Hillary that will make your children cry.
I still think that the Democratic primary race shows deeper pathologies than the Republican race, and not because Hillary looks like she lives in a cottage imagined by the Brothers Grimm. Her email "mistakes" are a big deal. Sending one email with secret information through the wrong server or to the wrong person is a felony. It's lunacy that even her primary opponents act like it's no big deal for a Presidential candidate to (allegedly) commit hundreds of felonies because she can't be bothered by simple procedures intended to protect national security.
If Democratic voters actually cared about elites ruling from a position of privilege, Hillary would be the last person they would support. Instead, they're revealing themselves to be bigger sycophants than any contestant ever seen on The Apprentice.

Trump is a New York liberal with authoritarian tendencies just like Giuliani. And like Giuliani, he could belong to either the Dems or the GOP.
But the permanent government ordains the president long before the election, and they don't intend on Trump taking office. All the butthurt in the Jews media against him is just them following orders.
Expect a very spectacular October surprise if he does get the nomination though.

No one cares about elites ruling from privileged position as long as that person isn't from the "other side."
We got 8 years of relatively moderate Obama and you're gonna get 8 more of the same with Clinton. She's also gonna realign the Supreme Court, so if you don't like moderate-progressive politicians, better move to Canada......oh, wait.
How crazy is our world when it's highly likely that either Trump or Hill will be the next prez?
538 and the other quant folks have argued pretty well that Trumps odds of winning the nomination are something under 10% Rubio is the the most likely nominee, but he's somewhere in the 30s%.
Hillary is way more likely; something's going to have to go pretty wrong for her not to take the nomination. Rather hoping for Sanders.
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.
The Republicans will have to nominate someone crazy for Hillary to have a shot. Hillary's campaign is doing a reasonable job now at maintaining the illusion that "the real Hillary" is a wonderful, likeable person. But that bullshit is more transparent than Bill questioning the meaning of the word "is". And she looks as unpleasant as everyone knows she is. That matters more than people are willing to admit.

I am disappointed that James Webb was basically cock blocked out of the game by the dems. His record is not spotless as a politician, but a Marine with a Navy Cross trumps all these motherfuckers in my little mind's eye. He was SecNav when I was in the Marines, not that it means anything.......

Did his dad give him $3 billion?
I always find it amusing that people slag off Trump for not being perfect in business, but they're perfectly fine voting for people who've never even tried (i.e., career politicians who've made money solely by manipulating the levers of government).

bernie is oddball from a little state. he is not much liked by many of his fellow dem senators, and he's still in it. at least for the moment
if webb couldn't gain traction, that failure is on him, not "cock blocking" by other democrats, whatever that's supposed to mean.

I'm disgusted that the Dems have put up such a miserable slate. I wiil not vote for Hillary.
Bernie has no chance of doing anything that he has promised. He would be crushed in the general election anyway.
I really wanted Jim Webb to stay in the race.
Oh well......
Good to see you back around these parts. Not that our current crop of IGx lefties aren't smart folks--they are, but you keep it real and you can put on a lefty clinic for these guys.

C'mon....you kill me with your denial of the obvious. Webb was squished because he could have gotten it done. Hillary is the man for the job as far as the media Dems are concerned.

Jim, you give me too much credit. Thank you though.
Between being sick, and losing a battle to curtail even minor corruption in the "Garden State", my desire to debate the issues is minimal.
Trump's idiocy would normally throw me into overdrive, but I really don't care anymore. I won't vote for that raggedy cunt though. She and her husband can both rot.
Obama is another fucking disgrace.

Webb was squashed because running as a Dixiecrat in 2015 doesn't appeal to anyone. The idea that there's this silent base of working-class white guys who just wish they had an old white Democrat to vote for is false.
In his 2006 election he actually did worse in Virginia than Obama did in 2008 or 2012.
There's a decent chance that the contemporary GOP is incapable of winning a national election (if Florida is more 'blue' than 'purple,' the only large state that the GOP has locked down is Texas - and that's two Presidential cycles away from enough old white people dying to be competitive) so it probably doesn't matter which Republican gets the nomination, y'all are going to pledging allegiance to President Hillary.

Last I checked old white Democrats were the only choices they were getting.
