Post by Turdacious »

http://www.pbs.org/newshour/making-sens ... -a-quiz-2/

Interesting quiz. I got a 78.
48-99: A lifelong resident of a working-class neighborhood with average television and movie going habits. Typical: 77.

42-100: A first-generation middle-class person with working-class parents and average television and movie going habits. Typical: 66.

11-80: A first-generation upper-middle-class person with middle-class parents. Typical: 33.

0-43: A second-generation (or more) upper-middle-class person who has made a point of getting out a lot. Typical: 9.

0-20: A second-generation (or more) upper-middle-class person with the television and movie going habits of the upper middle class. Typical: 2.

Mine is 32. But I am not an American, so that's probably irrelevant.

43. It says I have average TV and movie habits, which isn't really accurate since I don't watch TV and I've only seen 3 movies this year which is a lot for me.

Same. Interesting but not entirely accurate.

Wish I could've picked both Branson, MO and Richard Branson.

I like how it was about the educational/income levels of where I've lived but never asked about mine...

I was listening to the JRE yesterday and there was a snippet about how car racing is dumb and Brazilians are Crazy for F1 and the street were full when Senna died...and they had the temerity to say..yeah, I mean, if some Stock Car racer died in a big race in the US who would even know.?

Ummm..Dale Fucking Earnhardt? Jesus tits...talk about a bubble.

PS...Stock Car racing is fucking awesome and if you disagree you need to go back to whatever socialist frozen wasteland you came from.

Are you sure you're not mistaking that for the Tom Cruise movie Days of Thunder?

An entire film premised on using the steep banking of a NASCAR oval to make Cruise appear taller than Nicole Kidman while walking alongside each other?

we're at the northern end of appalachia here.

nearest neighbor's boyfried was a hitter and (allegedly) a dealer. when he left, one son of the new live-in (a woman) o.d'd injecting fentanyl.

none of those restaurants exist within a half hour of where i live. the quiz doesn't assign points for plowing the driveway of welfare recipients living in a trailer.

still, i do live in the progressive bubble that is vermont, a special place freed from heteronormative thinking.

"You got 69 points." I hate NASCAR racing. Now MTB and MX is a different story. I do like F1 as well. I grew up in trailers, rental homes (was 16 when we bought our first house) and we lived with my grandma at times.

How dare you.

If you can't appreciate NASCAR, you just don't like racing. It's pure distilled strategy with loads of cheating. It's the most American of Motorsports because it's rooted in treachery. What's not to love?

It's a little weird that people who go to the same 6 restaurants and watch the same 6 shows don't live in a bubble.
