Trump just achieved more in a few days than previous leaders have in decades. He got China to tell it's satellite state it would NOT support it if it attacked the U.S. Unheard of policy shift.

Oh, and while North Korea understands we will obliterate it, it responded with....threats on...Guam. That's so lopsided it's ridiculous.

Stop crying.

I got to say, when it comes to slagging, Trump is in his element. But he needs to give Kim a nickname.

We may get the answer to the question, what if Ralphie had nukes.

[quote]F YOU ASK Steve Bannon how he got the idea that Muslims in the Middle East are a civilizational threat to America, he will say that his eyes were first opened when he served on a Navy destroyer in the Arabian Sea. At least that's what he told the journalist Joshua Green, whose new book about President Donald Trump's senior counselor is a best-seller.

"It was not hard to see, as a junior officer, sitting there, that [the threat] was just going to be huge," Bannon said. He went on:

We'd pull into a place like Karachi, Pakistan - this is 1979, and I'll never forget it - the British guys came on board, because they still ran the port. The city had 10 million people at the time. We'd get out there, and 8 million of them had to be below the age of fifteen. It was an eye-opener. We'd been other places like the Philippines where there was mass poverty. But it was nothing like the Middle East. It was just a complete eye-opener. It was the other end of the earth.

That's Bannon's version. There are a few problems with it, however.

The port of Karachi was not run by the British in 1979. Karachi, which is the commercial hub of Pakistan, had a population that was well short of 10 million (it was about half that) and is not usually considered part of the Middle East. But the biggest problem is that the destroyer Bannon served on, the USS Paul F. Foster, never visited Karachi while Bannon was aboard.

I think Trump should threaten to give the Japs an equal number of mobile nuke missiles as the NK say they have, and promise to let the two countries sort it out. That would get the Chinese all hot and bothered.

perhaps now that he's done threatening the gook with the nuke and mitch, donnie pompadour will use his bully pulpit to reject the klan and neo-nazis, like those marching today in charlottesville.

are the president and the r's going to acquiesce to the return of hitlerian ideals and the grand dragon?

There's a livefeed on Facebook of the entire thing.

Not surprisingly, what you see with your own two eyes barely matches up with most left wing media accounts.

:shocked

Post-Bill Clinton Democrats: "Let's move away from working class whites and intentionally foment division along racial lines for political power. We'll assemble every non-white group into a large voting bloc and win elections!"

Obama-era Democrats: "Let's ignore the increasingly anti-white rhetoric from BLM and our favorite little SJW friends and invite BLM to the White House over and over! We can also funnel public money toward those groups to shore up our next electoral victory!"

Post-Trump Democrats: *ignores Antifa's fascist attacks*

Post-Charlottesville Democrats: "I can't believe what I'm seeing!! White people are so violent! Look at what Trump has created!"

I spent the weekend enjoying myself and deliberately stayed away from this mess.

Were the white nationalists truly bringing terror to a peaceful community or was it just white fascists and Prog fascists having a great time giving each other well deserved fantastic fascist beatings until it got too bloody?

Some white maniac apparently drove into a crowd and killed a girl. Do Trump and all his Trumplings share some guilt in this death...just because. Way back a whole year ago a BLM black maniac assassinated 5 cops in Dallas; did Obama and his Obamites share guilt...just because.

Merck CEO Kenneth Frazier resigned Monday from the president's American Manufacturing Council in protest of President Donald Trump's response to white supremacist violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, and Trump immediately blasted the drug executive on Twitter.

"As CEO of Merck and as a matter of personal conscience, I feel a responsibility to take a stand against intolerance and extremism," Frazier wrote in a tweet. Merck declined to comment further.

Shortly after Frazier announced his resignation, Trump responded by saying that now that the CEO had resigned from the council, he will have more time to "LOWER RIPOFF DRUG PRICES!"

Seems like an issue for Charlottesville citizens to sort out what sort of statues go up in Charlottesville parks, state lawsuit not withstanding. The white nationalists were essentially bused in from outside. The lady killed in Charlottesville lived in Charlottesville, where she was advocating for her town.

Obama and Trump absolutely own their responses.

Following Dallas:
President Barack Obama said Friday that the nation was "horrified" after what he called "a vicious, calculated and despicable attack on law enforcement" in Dallas. The White House announced Friday evening that the President would cut short his European trip by one day and visit Dallas early next week.

Following Charlottesville...we all know Trump's vague comment. He also has yet to say anything about the bombing of the muslim site in Minnesota, although Sebastian Gorka (a senior white house aide) helpfully suggested that it may be a false flag attack by muslims on themselves.

The silence by the NRA on the shooting of Castile (legal carry, shot during pullover while reaching for his license) and their ads quietly promoting a race war...crossing the boundary from advocated for gun rights to something else.

Trump is pretty clearly working to not offend the white supremacist wing of his base, which is equally pretty clearly going to enrage a lot of folks on the left.

..all of this suggests this is going to end up in a very ugly place.

et tu donkey?

you're signing up as an apologist for the nazis and klan?

do you truly see moral equivalency between people seeking equal protection (black lives) and people working to deny others their rights (nazis/klan)?

Or he's doing what he did re Obama's birth certificate.

The left was enraged before this happened, there's really little change in their attitudes. If anything this may speed Bannon and Gorka out the door of the WH.

It may actually end up pretty well. These turds are having their identities exposed in a way which will make it nearly impossible to get government employment, or employment anywhere where HR does a cursory Google search. Their chances of losing their virginity is down as well. Balance pertains.

One of the last guys to leave an advisory role, former Uber CEO Travis Kalenick, isn't particularly popular either.

Donk's not doing that (I believe).

The "left" would have been better off not bring their urine balloons and what-not to the party, meeting hate with hate. Better to just have silently outnumbered the nazi/klan folks and made them look small.

i agree that the left is imperfect, difficult to like. even repugnant in some instances.

but i would reiterate my statement that donkey "appears" to establish moral equivalence between left and nazi. i dispute that. and it is that false moral equivalence that becomes an apology for bigoted extremism, which in c'ville led to terrorism.

that's my logic, such as it is.

Socialists are socialists-- national or otherwise. When Ted Cruz can easily take the moral high ground over the NYT by reminding them of their Stalinist apologetics, the bar is low.

But really, is there any easier "get" for a President than slagging on Nazis who are going around spouting racist shit? Folks that lots of still-living fought against in WWII? Concentration camp with ovens operators? The personification of evil? The Godwin's Law end stop for all on-line arguments?

Easier press moment than pardoning a Turkey on Thanksgiving.

Trump couldn't even do that.

Sad

He gave Merck CEO Ken Frazier a harder time on Twitter than he did the folks who killed the woman in Charlottesville.
