Benny what the fuck is that shit you posted above? I thought I was the fucking booze whisperer but I've never heard of it. What do you do with it? Straight, ice, mixed? I know I can google it but fuck google.

Bell's is awesome; The first time I heard about them was on here, Shaf maybe? Much like Great Divide, don't think I've ever had a bad Bell's beer. Not many craft brewers do so many beers so well.bennyonesix wrote:Just drink normal beer you gunts. Like what I am drinking.

Lager of the Lakes
Oarsman
Oberon
Two Hearted
Porter
Expedition and Kalamazoo stout
and the best one yet... the Third Coast Ale which for some crazy reason is sold in 6 packs at 11% for like 18 bucks.

Ah, the Calvados? That's apple brandy from France. They take it very seriously. Has to be from certain regions etc. I drink it neat like a nice whisky. I thought it was harsh at first but now I really like it. A cigar, a nice coffee and two shots of that on the side is almost impossible to beat.Shapecharge wrote:That's beer? Wow. Did. Not. Get.

I'd rather have a side of scrapple and a regular beer.
Scrapple btw is the greatest thing.

Holiday party last night.
Black Pearl Necklace –Barrel Aged Imperial Stout from Saugatuck Brewery in Douglas, MI. A friend gave me this close to 3 years ago when I moved to Texas. Not a huge stout fan, but this was very, very good, and I could see the forest through the trees.
Bulleit on ice. About 5 ounces

Coors Banquet = gangster. Coors Light = High school party in the woods. Terry = homo.
I would not have forked out the dough for this if pretty much every Bell's beer i've ever had hadn't been so good and a few of you hadn't raved about it. It's really good stuff.

Check your stores... I think it was just released Jan 20th or so. I found this at a BevMo, so shouldn't be too hard to get.

Re: Right now I'm drinking
I'm happy to keep a log of my new beer conquests here if nobody else wants to play.
Someone at my local BevMo must have sucked off the Prairie distributor... These were both really good. Easy drinking, farmhousy but not so funky as to require any in depth tasting. Just really good table beer with a nice dry hop on the Americana; didn't taste it as much on the Ace. Cool ass labels too.
Americana

Ace... Frisbee golf scorecard?

Very nice. I've been getting into the Berliner-weiss style, and this is one of the better ones I've tried.

Mother Pucker sour ale by BadWolf Brewing.
Not remotely worthy of the name.

Not right now, but just recently - Lagunitas Waldo Ale.
If you run across this I cannot recommend it enough. A strong ABV, highly hoppy ale that is not IPA bitter, and not imperial malty. Just an outstanding crafted ale. Well worth a taste.

Re: Right now I'm drinking
I was on a Bushmills hunt yesterday and discovered Slane Irish whiskey.
It's a new Brown-Forman brand (Woodford, Jack Daniel's, etc.)
$33 for a full liter and I was feeling adventurous.
It's got some of the flavor of Black Bush but I think a bit mellower. Maybe the triple casking?
And, 25% more volume for about the same price.

I was back east recently and my parents brought up some Cigar City Jai Alai and Florida Cracker. They were both good. Love that the JA wasn't on this hazy bandwagon.
Wish i could get Cigar City out on CA.

Re: Right now I'm drinking
Bump.
Craft beer is dead a casualty of the fuckin hazecan revolutionz. I drink bud lights now. Joking but not joking...
Ive been on a pilsner kick for a while and the craft breweries are catching on to making good lagers very quickly.
I will occasionally drink Treehouse or other neipas but I'm kinda getting sick of them. Can't remember the last time I drank a Belgian.
What has happened?

In great moderation, as I'm sure they do in Russia.
