I don't understand Antifa's overall objectives. They sure don't seem to give a fuck about who they harm from a race, gender, or age perspective. Are they Communists or some kind of commie anarchists? Or are they just violent losers who've created a reason for their destructive predilections?

The left seems to look at them as Robin Hood type figures and the right considers them a terrorist organization. I think they're terrorists but would like to find out more.

By far and away the closest thing we have to fascism in this country is Antifa. No idea outside of their view can be tolerated, and any dissenting voice must be silenced with violence. Throwing "milkshakes" full of concrete, inciting riots and civil unrest, all part of their playbook.

I'm extremely sympathetic to many social causes on the left. I think we should treat our workers several orders of magnitude better than we do, I think healthcare should be a right, I'm leaning toward a UBI or some other form of basic necessities being met to open up opportunities for people who are otherwise tied to shit subsistence work, I'd like to educate anyone who wants to learn right up to the limit of what they can accomplish. But if the left makes me choose sides between the Antifa version of zero tolerance of any type of conservative worldview, and the right, that's going to be a hard choice.

While clearly the crowds of black rioters and looters aren't white, there is definitely a weird element/vibe thing going on here. At least in LA. You've definitely got some people who are not black, not part of the protests, and they are showing specifically to try and turn the protests into violent confrontations between the crowds and the police.

When you say the left, in this context who do you mean?

I specifically don't mean people who support liberal policies or are enraged by what happened to Mr. Floyd and express their anger loudly.
I mean Democrats like Keith Ellison (and his Minneapolis politician son) and members of the MSM who've been publicly supportive of the group or very reticent to call them out as the violent criminals they are.
