How awesome are you that you found a cartoon of a jackass with giant ears getting a group hug from a pig, a powerbear and skinny-Fat Cat.Crust Bucket wrote:Group hug for Shape. We still love you brother!

Was about to pull the trigger when I stopped to read the Amazon reviews. Pages of woe: smoking blenders, leaking, etc.

You have around 10 IGx'ers on this thread who have bit the BULLET by purchasing the world's finest food emulsifier and are infinitely pleased they have done so. Never in your life will you meet a collective group who likes to bitch more than we and you've seen not a single complaint with heft in this 12 page masterpiece of a product review.lasalle wrote:Was about to pull the trigger when I stopped to read the Amazon reviews. Re: Nutribullet
I could maybe see if you continuiously put a lot, and I mean a whole lot of frozen solid shit in da'Bullet it might begin to complain but other than that and not screwing the bladed portion on tight enough then what else really could be a problem. I just had a shake with rhino horn and tiger penis I got from my chanker friend and I'm ready to conquer Mount Midoriyama.
Re: Nutribullet
1) Green stuff, a banana, a clementine (sm. orange), some frozen mango pieces, and almonds is a good NutriBlast [tm]. Even though using almond milk (in lieu of water) is a cheater's shortcut to a satisfying 'Blast, I think that almonds are an honorable thing to include. Oranges and almonds seem to be friends.
2) You'll instantly be able to tell, by the aroma that arises when you unscrew the Nutrition Extractor Blade [tm], whether you've made a delicious NutriBlast [tm] or not.
3) Frozen berries make a NB look gross as crap. It looks like some vegan/raw foodie trying to fake a chocolate shake.

Re: Nutribullet
I think you dudes should go buy and chop up a whole pineapple, and feed the resultant chunks into your Nutribullet’s hungry maw. A whole pineapple is $2.00 down here in Tejas, compared to like $3.50-4.00 for a little ass container of chopped pineapple. Pineapple, banana, spinach, _________, is a pretty good base for a nutriblast. Oh, and cue the Twilight Zone music, I process my pineapples using the technique taught on the RADA cutlery webpage, for maximum IGX circularity.
Here’s a kind of interesting, kind of gross nutriblast: spinach, a crap ton of pineapple, parsely, celery, ½ a jalapeno, salt. I ripped that recipe off from a juice place in Austin.

Re: Nutribullet
Three questions:
1. Are any of these concoctions really pleasing? Do you look forward to them or do you choke them down for health?
2. I like whole fruit and dare someone to get fat eating fruit. However, as soon as you mash, pulverize, or liquify fruit, I'm not sure you have the same physiological limitations. It seems like you guys put enough fruit in here to last me a couple days.
3. I eat spinach/kale/colorful veggie just about every day, often at two meals. I also eat fruit every day. With that regimen, what added value does the bullet offer?

Re: Nutribullet
2. It's not as much fruit as you might think. The big jar is probably 32 oz., and the MAX FILL marking is around 24 oz. You fill up 1/2 of the MAX FILL volume with greens, 1/2 (or a little more) with fruit, and then fill to the max line with good old H2O. If I'm putting banana, apple, and mango in a nutriblast, it might be 7/8 of a banana, 2-3 slices of skinless apple, and 3-4 little pieces of frozen mango (perhaps 2Tbsp).

Many thanks, bros. You did all of the heavy lifting to make this thread top 10k views and with no end in sight.High Velocity Lie-Nap! wrote:Stay on topic, men. Lie-Nap! is working like hell to create the internet's first 10k view thread about a blender.

I wonder if you could use one of these things to grind up peanuts
Don’t believe everything you think.
Re: Nutribullet
It does have an attachment for grinding.

Can it remove the peanut oil while grinding?AF1 wrote:It does have an attachment for grinding.

Are you not one of my Facebook BFF's? I have moved-on from this thread when we decimated the 10k views bogie and have been testing my skills of influence on the FB crowd. This must be done in a subtle manner as to not reveal my IGxdenity. Only that toothless limey, G@v makes IGx references on our FB pages.rjudo wrote:Bump this on up for Nappy!

I pulled the trigger this morning. $99 at Macy's. Excited to join the secret Nutirbullet cabal.
Can someone please save me having to wade through 11 pages of this glorious thread and recommend a good, go to first try recipe?
Thanks.

Just ordered one last night. My wife's been on me about getting greens with breakfast anyway.

Re: Nutribullet
I recommend a half spinach, half frozen fruit medley combo. Throw a scoop of vanilla protein in for good measure. Nuts and/or honey can't hurt either.
I have found that any greens besides spinach are too bitter for my liking in a smoothie.
Still using my Bullet almost daily.

Thanks. That's about what I stumbled in to in my first two tries: 1/2 spinach, a banana, frozen berries, flax seeds and then covered it with coconut water.ButterCupPowerRanch wrote:I recommend a half spinach, half frozen fruit medley combo. Kale is the holy grail for fiber and giving me a shiny coat, but I think I'll need a week or two to work up to it. Also interested to see what this does to my weight if I swap out a meal or two for the Bullet.

Re: Nutribullet
All depends on what you add to cover the bitterness of the veggies. A lemon or lime (with skin) will cut a lot of the bitterness. Cinnamon and cocoa are good for taste too. I usually add a spoonful of turmeric for the fiber and as an anti-inflammatory.
frozen kale, frozen wild blueberries, flaxseeds, a small lemon, turmeric, cocoa, cinnamon, and a half scoop of protein powder is my goto drink. Doesn't taste great, but not bad either.

Re: Nutribullet
Go easy on the kale and it isn't bad. Go heavy on the kale and stay near the throne for a couple days. The turmeric is the key for me, nature's motrin.lasalle wrote:Damn.
