Re: Nutribullet
Okay so after having the Bullet for four weeks I've had 18 morning shakes with most of the following in some form or fashion but the greens always...everything fresh except for the mango and pinnapple which were frozen:
kale, chard, romaine, mixed greens, baby spinach/spinach, carrots, sweet peppers (red, yellow, orange), avacado, kiwi, pommegranate, mango, pinnapple, banana, apple, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, raw nuts, raw sunflower and pumpkin seeds, hemp seed, raw oats, vegetable based protein power.
I am going to dial this back just a tad...maybe to three mornings a week. I can't say I necessarily feel any better but getting more fruits and vegetables in your diet is a good thing no matter what. I do think I am crapping better. I have been only slightly concerned about the amount of oxalates this adds to my diet from all the leafy greens but I would imagine if I had any issues, at 55, they would have shown up by now.
Oh one slight oddity, I can see in the infrared spectrum now.

Re: Nutribullet
Good observation Bobbie. Let's make sure we all understand that blueberries are a superfood. They make everything about you better. They give you clearer vision, vibrant wrinkle free skin, thicker hair with both body and shine, brighter teeth...well the list goes on and on. However that very small part of the population that can not tolerate blueberries, well, the numbers are in and what they reveal is this: those individuals are one hundred percent homosexual. That's right my odd socially challenged Scandnavian brother...these people crave sexual intercourse with their own gender. Not that there's anything wrong with that. So let this be a warning to all of you out there that might not know for sure if your husband, brother, friend is full on gay. Offer them a few blueberries. If they refuse to eat one well there's your answer right there because who could deny themself this most awesome tasty fruit with such super powers other than a person who was a "fruit" themself? Ask not for whom the blueberry tolls my clubfooted friend...it tolls for thee.

Re: Nutribullet
Shape,
I'm still rocking them out on most days as is the entire family (they've been drinking the magicbullet shakes forever, though; the nutribullet is just more powerful and makes for much more variety).
At 55, you're healthier and 'fitter' than I am at 45, so I am probably enjoying more benefit than you and I would suspect the fact that it's my new breakfast go to over hitting McD's or making a bologna sammich. Could I eat a salad or some fruit for breakfast? Of course, but NFW would I and certainly not that volume so it only makes sense for me to stay the course. Besides, your dick is going to shrink as will all the other magic powers as you dial-back the shake frequency.

Lie Nap's wishy-washy review leaves it unclear whether this "Nutribullet" is any good.

I really like it. It's very fast and powerful. I would highly recommend it.

Re: Nutribullet
Will this thing make a puree easily, or does it rely on the extra liquid you would have in a shake? We're trying to feed our (almost) 1-year-old a wider variety of vegetables, but her 3.5 teeth don't make that easy.

Go eat blueberries.
I've seen nothing but talk of shakes, which doesn't mean it will do what I need.

Re: Nutribullet
Unless you're going to use an old school hand blender (the thing with the two whipping thingamagigs), you would likely need to add liquid regardless...so to Proto's point, yes, the Nutribullet is a blender, just a jacked up blender all punched down into a small package. This is not your Oster blender for sure.Pinky wrote:Will this thing make a puree easily, or does it rely on the extra liquid you would have in a shake? Puree? Let's say you baked some sweet potatoes for your little one. You'd scoop all that out from the skins and yes, you'd add a little bit of water or stock and you'd be good to go. I am sure you can break it down without the liquid, but I am thinking it would take too much time and wouldn't be worth the hassle.
Re: Nutribullet
Thanks. That's what I needed to know. The pictures I've seen and talk of it pulverizing everything had me hoping it could do some of the work of a food processor.

Re: Nutribullet
It does. You would just have to push down the food as it 'blended', I guess....same as you would a food processor. Our food processor gets zero use these days....in fact, it's heading to Good Will.Pinky wrote:Thanks. That's what I needed to know. I finally read this thread today.
Just brought one home and will try it out tomorrow.
On the shelf was a "Baby bullet". I didn't look too closely at it but maybe this is what you need, Pinky.

HVLN, I've heard that the Nutribullet set on puree can double as a Sybian for the sexually frustrated housewife-on-the-go, who needs both a nutritious morning smoothie AND a quick orgasm before heading off to work.
Truth?

While the Nutribullet would likely satisfy a myriad of needs above and beyond nutritious drinks that actually taste great, it is incredibly noisy so I don't know if it would fit that particular bill, you pervert.

The good news is that kids change fast at this age. Last week my wife was worried about our daughter eating vegetables. When I got home yesterday evening, the little one was happily eating pieces of steamed broccoli. The Ginger Beard Man wrote:On the shelf was a "Baby bullet".
