Enter The Void

Just watched this tonight on Netflix. Basically it's about DMT and the death experience as a trip and astral projection. It's directed by Gaspar Noe who also directed Irreversible. Paz De La Huerta of Boardwalk Empire fame is in it as well. A lot of sex scenes in this movie too. http://www.youtube.c...

Just watched the original last night on Netflix. Liked it very much. I'm looking forward to seeing the remake.

Re: Blood and Thunder by Hampton Sides

It kind of depends. For me, I could care less if someone says "Indian", "Native American", "Indigenous", etc. I even feel like Native American is an incorrect term as well, because anybody born here is basically a Native American. First Nations sounds the more correct, ...

Re: Boardwalk Empire

Season finale was very good. Jimmy went out like a man. Sad to see him go, but like he said he already died in the trenches.

Re: Blood and Thunder by Hampton Sides

Yes, Blood And Thunder was a great book. Being a Navajo I grew up with all the older Navajo's saying what an evil person Kit Carson was. I always figured there was more to the story. Kit Carson saved the Navajo by incarcerating them in Bosque Redondo, because Carlton would've rather just wiped them ...

Re: A Serious Man

A great film about existential crisis. Got it on Blu-ray. It's one of those films like About Schmidt that gets funnier with each viewing.

I agree with you Mike. Don't tone it down. It keeps the metrosexuals away. Limits the audience, but most other people in that audience don't think for themselves anyway as they await instructions from Oprah.

Good point Trip. And yeah, I know GS is limited in it's appeal. As for rust, I live in the Desert, rust is a rarity here. But I can understand this concern for people living back east. Still I'd give K2 a try and use rust proof primer for touch ups on the bells.

I could care less about the paint coat. It's not a car, just a hunk of iron to be thrown around. I sand my handles to the bare metal anyways so chalk can stick better to the handles. I highly recommend doing such if you're into GS. My grip gets a hell of a workout anyway doing high reps and farmer w...

K2 Kettlebells

Unless I find something cheaper, money-wise, K2 kettlebells are the best thing I've seen after the DD bells. I just recieved my first 40kg bell from k2. I've already got a 40kg from DD. Side by side, they're practically identical. I weighed them both and they weigh the same as well. Snatches, cleans...

Mike Mahler's DVD Kettlebell Solution For Size and Strength

This is the first DVD of Mike's I've ever seen. And it's first rate. If you've been wanting to gain size and be as strong as you look, and do it with kettlebells as opposed to conventional approaches, I'd highly recommend his DVD. This DVD is targeted to people who've already got a good handle on ke...
