Re: The couch thread

Hmmm...more cult-like behavior? Is there actually a kind of mindset within potentially unsafe or destructive groups? Yes. There seems to be a typical mindset within most destructive cults. This is often characterized by black and white thinking, a low tolerance of ambiguity and a relentlessly judgem...

Re: The couch thread

I think any and all @Fers on the fence about the RRG owe it to themselves and others to get full disclosure on which party couch gave his deposition for, in fact, they should be asking for the transcript of that deposition. If this question is not answered or is deemed "inappropriate", I w...

FYI on what I could find about the "who" behind it (other than Douche Savant): http://www.crossfit.com/cf-info/faq.html#RRG14 There will be a membership agreement that will state how capital will be returned to each member. A member will not be able to sell their part of the RRG to another...

Re: The couch thread

Glassman agreed to a telephonic deposition but it's unclear from those documents if the deposition went forward and who he was testifying for. You can deduce that he agreed to testify for the Plaintiff and against the affiliate. If this is true, then Glassman knows he's got a problem with his affil...

Re: The couch thread

Thanks for the overview. Now, what happened with the guy that fell ill from X@ training? Which one would that be? There are so many to choose from on the @F message board... \:D/ Or do you mean the one who set precedent by winning the $300k lawsuit against a @F affiliate for giving him rhabdo? http...

Re: The couch thread

Why would I pay into the RRG? If another affiliate is attacked by a lawsuit, what financial repercussions would that have for me, other than the possible loss of the "CrossFit" name? If CrossFit goes belly up because of some idiotic affiliates, how does that hurt me? I could just change m...

Hey couch, what's your best recipe for a mixture of rhabdo and epicondylitis??? This? Ten rounds for time of: 3 Weighted Pull-ups, 45 pounds 5 Strict Pull-ups 7 Kipping Pull-up Sheesh. Re: The couch thread

Too bad the RRG, even if fully implemented, isn't going to erase 6 years of sneering and posturing about rhabdo. That and the fact that RRG that has many millions of dollars to fight does not equal $196,000 / $500,000 ...of our capitalization has been raised to date. ADD: The shaming is ...

Thanks for finding the best parts of that rpg program. If I owned an affiliate, I'd be talking big time to my attorney. The house of cards will fall over this. Re: The couch thread

My wife works for an insurance company that operates in NY state--they won't insure a home that has a trampoline. Life insurance won't cover someone for a death that occurs while rock climbing (so I've heard). It would seem insurance has a decent handle on risk they're willing to cover. @F doesn't s...
