Re: The couch thread
I want to call SportsGrants a piece of shit for rigging (FGB 6) their nonprofit selection winners, but at least the funds went to a good cause.

Point of Order: On this thread, we focus on something near and dear to us. I would like to know why it is being run over by members of a group that we dare not say the name. This isn't a Robb Wolf presentation in Texas where you can just show up and ruin everything out of spite. Speaking of that da...

Fucking pussies. Jesus was man enough to wear a crown of thorns on top of being whipped, beaten and spit upon during the entire ordeal. Sicfit.com, I demand you replay this WOD with the above aforementioned actions being included and repost a video to show your love for Jesus.

Good to know, I have a copy of Schmitz' video. Will have to look around to borrow a copy of the manual.
Shaf must be referring to Mohamed Hewie - Essentials of Weightlifting & Strength Training. Might add this to my wish list.

What are the other good ones in your opinion? If you had to choose just one?

Author: Dennis Lehane (Mystery Novels - Gone Baby Gone)
Good stuff. Picked up Gone Baby Gone and read it before I realized it is the 4th book in a series (and the movie, I finally watched this weekend, is a steaming pile of shit in comparison). Finished A Drink Before the War the other day and am probably halfway through Darkness, Take My Hand . Awesome ...

Re: Wall-E (Movie Review.)
I liked it. Matter of fact, I don't think there has been a Pixar animated movie I've seen that I didn't like. Great for kids, and there's good stuff to think about for the adults. The plight of humankind was amusing - fat, morbidly obese, lazy drones numb to the physical world. It's funny to see tha...

Re: Wanted
I wasn't that impressed with Wanted. It's an OK action flick, and has some good lines: "shoot this motherfucker." Not much depth in regards to themes that aren't overly obvious. Jolie bare-ass gave me a semi, so the 6 bucks wasn't a total waste. That and it being ghetto hour at the theater...

Re: Gone, baby, Gone! Best movie I have seen in a long time
Rather than waste a new topic, the book was entertaining. The plot really sucks you in. Before you realize, you're 300 pages in.
I think i'll check out the rest in the series (I think there are 5 total?). The movie will probably be shit to me now if I ever get around to watching it.

Re: Maxwell's New Homebrew Clubbell (tm not)
Nice. BTW, forget the lead shot or nuts and bolts. Just cut pieces of rebar to length. Might want to take a good hard look at the threads on the screw-off caps to make sure you wont' have a sand/shot/rebar slinging incident. I used the same plastic bat over a year ago to make clubs and added the re...

The Iron Grip Volume 1 – Pinch Lifting
The Iron Grip DVD is an excellent video for any of the grip nuts out there, or just about anyone looking to gain a bit of lower arm strength. It features one of the better respected giants in the grip community, David Horne, along with Nick McKinless and the equally impressive Elizabeth Horne. Thoug...
