Re: Let's talk ammo.
Save the "This caliber is better than that caliber" arguments for another time. What ammo do you load up with when you carry for these scenarios: Handgun -self defense (i.e. killing two legged vermin) Rifle -self defense Handgun hunting (either for taking game or for predator protection) ...

I just finished Larry Correia's Monster Hunter series for the second time in anticipation of ordering the newest book in the series. Really good stuff if you're into fantasy and realistic gun play. Well, as realistic as it gets when the hero is shooting monsters, but you know... Also been going back...

Re: Rolling Stone writing quality is astounding
I was in an argument with an in-law about the national debt and spending policies two years ago at a family drunk-fest...erm, family reunion. He explained that I was totally off-base and could learn everything I need to know about economics (!) from Rolling Stone, and I could borrow his copy. I just...

Re: Suggestions on a moving company.
YIHB This is likely how I'm going to do it. Thanks on midweek suggestion. I got into a time suck with that thread. It lead to other searches and may have ultimately led to program ADD but then I remembered I have no gym, and no access to one, so I'm forced to stick with my current xfit inspired plan...

The kid that bought the house included my gym in his offer....huge relief. Only part of it im taking is the ironmind squat stand/safety bars.

Suggestions on a moving company.
It's been a long few months away from the family, but it appears my house in IL finally sold. I'm trying to keep costs down as much as possible, but I think hiring (at least the majority) of the move is our best option. Having me in MT, and the pregnant wife in IL makes it errmmm, problematic… Anybo...

Saw it yesterday. IMAX 3D it's worth it. Zero plot, no story line, but awesome experience. Wouldn't bother to see it without the full experience.

Re: YO Nappy! Dog advices needed.
My French bulldog was a sweetheart and wonderful companion, but only to me. She hated anyone else and despised children. No good in extreme temps at all, and died of heart failure at 7. Good friend has a Patterdale. I'd throw out a vote for one. I loved that little pooch. Fair warning: it was aptly ...

Re: Climbing Shanghai Tower
It didn't bother me until they got to the very top. I've painted a few tv towers, water towers, 10 or 12 story buildings which I have rapelled off of but nothing like that. A guy that I used to work with did urban climbing of old towers and such that invited me to go on some weekend climbing trips ...

Re: Unbroken
I used to date a chick whose mom was British. The mom's dad had been a POW in the Japanese theater. He didn't talk about it, but some stuff triggered him even decades later. If anyone put a bowl of rice down in front of him he'd freak out and launch it across the room. Apparently when they were even...
