.....do you still like your Infrared Sauna?

I was at an outdoors show this past weekend and saw a few models that I would not mind having.

Assuming you still use yours, what kind of benefits do you see and is there a difference IYO between those and a regular sauna?

Anyone else who has used these, feel free to weigh-in, too.

Bogey, I've got a far infrared sauna, and like it. There are lots of claims that the far is better than traditional. And most of the sauna studies I've read are researching the far infrared.

I like my sauna but can't claim enough experience to say it's better than the traditional type. It takes only 15-20 minutes to heat up.
The only drawback is that the heat is dry heat. No ladling water onto rocks.

That hot little chickie from Found My Fitness, Rhonda Patrick, talks about this...there isn't really any difference between traditional and far infrared, the heat proteins made are what counts.

I would love a nice traditional finnish sauna, but 8 months of hte year I can just sit on a folding chair in my attic to sweat like that.

Jim. Same as what Johno said. I'm in an apartment so it's ideal. I worked out at a Fitness USA gym for years and years and they have one of each steam room and the dry sauna. I liked the dry best. Mine is infra red. Room for 2. Set up in my bedroom. I stayed in it too long a couple times and when I got out fell down dizzy and it took a while to recover. Other than those mishaps, I like it a lot and it keeps me feeling healthy in spite of drinking a lot of beer and smoking(not while in there though!). I think you'll like one. Go for it.
