So much for letting people vet concepts in the marketplace of ideas. Whatever your thoughts about Qanon are, you should be concerned, now that only ideologically-approved "specialists" and "experts" are allowed to have opinions.
Unknown specialists with unknown training following unknown guidelines for unknown reasons.

Facebook should only allow pictures of visits to the beach where you get your picture taken while everyone wears white. A pouty trout face shots.

The only thing I think is dumb about Q is the meme that there is some counter-faction within the Institutions fighting on Trump's side.

There's plenty I find objectionable, but that really shouldn't matter at all, should it. But in our modern dystopia, the ideological den mothers that never got asked to prom are the gatekeepers of orthodoxy.

Lot's is dumb and meant to appeal to boomer goons but I don't think there's anything objectionable even by mainstream culture's own standards. Unless dissidence itself is objectionable.

What are the Qbert's up to now? Has there been any word from the world's most mysterious consonant?

They lose me when they come up with their alternative facts. Comet Ping Pong being the inevitable outcome.

The Capitol riot was nothing more than comet Ping pong x 10,000. Fueled by a big easily disproved lie.

The profile of folks embracing this stuff is... depressing

One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

First off, what a giant, obvious, pile of bullshit.

Second, it's sad that there is a trickle down effect to non-believers. If you have enough people saying that Covid is a hoax, and that the election was stolen, people start believing those things.

I've shifted from being upset by it, to trying to figure out how to monetize it.

I listened to a podcast the other day, I’m not sure if it was mentioned here or not.

I liked it, and the info seemed legit, but I’m not too tuned into it all so who knows?

It took me a minute to get past the hosts voice...

He interviews the cripple who started 8chan who, through his knowledge of how the site works and its history, says he knows who Q is.

It’s the “reply all” podcast, episode 166, “a country of liars”

It’s a shame really...it takes issues that are legitimate, like child/human trafficking, and makes those things seem like “crazy unfounded conspiracies” bc of how nutty Qanon followers appear.

No one in their right mind is for child trafficking.

But that is a separate issue folded into the Q-Anon narrative.

Discrediting Q-Anon by no means now legitimizes the abuse of kids.

It’s a huge crime, both legislatively and morally, and nothing is going to change that. Unfortunately, like all crimes, it will continue to arise, and will have to continue to be battled.

Using sex trafficking of children by q and other groups has nothing to do with sex trafficking of kids.

It is a simple trigger and diversion.

"Why are you out protesting for BLM when THERE ARE CHILDREN BEING SEX TRAFFICKED."

It's the part of the double holy grail for riling up the base. Racial justice???? WHAT ABOUT SEX TRAFFICKING OF CHILDREN!!! Oh...and look at how many black people shot black people in chicago.

Sex trafficking of children is also potent because it ties in with the liberal pedophiliac sex cults of hollywood narrative.

So with it, you have a lot of things coalescing into a very simple, powerful narrative that motivates people.

I can't find it anymore, but back in the day there was lot of information (at least a lot in the circles that wrote about this stuff) about scientology's use of accusing its critics of being pedophiles. Videos of them accosting protestors and accusing them of being pedophiles, child rapists, etc.

Of course I do not support any abuse of children. And I have no doubt that there is some scum and villainy and shady shit in hollywood.

But even the NEED for me to clarify hows what a powerful tactic it is for PR, mind wars, disinformation, etc.

I do like the idea of the Q leaders telling people, "Well we gave it a shot time to go back to our lives," ignoring the fact that they've been claiming a satanic pedophile ring is taking children.

Not what I meant, and I don’t think it’s what I said...

What I meant was that bc Q-followers went hard on the satanic cabal/adrenochrome/pedo front, that it could tarnish or postpone a real conversation about the possibility of systematic abuse by people who hold positions of influence.

Look at pizzagate....there weren’t kids in the basement of a pizza restaurant, but a lot of the players in that story are weird as fuck, and a lot of terminology and symbolism is suspect. But bc a nutter went in there with a rifle looking to off some satanic cultists it’s an off the table topic without appearing like a tinfoil hat wearing loon.

I dunno, I think Jeffrey Epstein showed that the rot goes to the top.

Q-Anon or not, his history is out there.

I look at Q believers with the same eye I look at people who fell for Trump's bullshit. They're the same brand of fools who will fall in for some preacher telling them he decoded the bible and figured out the world will end on x/x/xx, and they should sell all their belongings and donate the proceeds to the church. It sucks people are gullible enough to fall for any shade of bullshit, but if you're dumb enough to fall for THAT level of bullshit with absolutely ZERO evidence I just have to shake my head in wonder.

I honestly think our brand of religious lunacy in the US softens the mind of people so these sorts of mind viruses can take hold. If you're willing to believe the biggest lie ever told, you're only one step away from believing any other made up horse shit.

But GOD DAMN this Q shit is as nutty as squirrel turds. Right up there with Scientology with made-up-on-the-fly garbage. Whoever is behind Q is probably laughing as hard at these chumps as L Ron did at the Scientology converts who emptied their wallets at his feet.

I love it that Q tards are embracing the sovereign man/freeman philosophies to make the shit even more convoluted and nutty. For example, I have an aunt that has gotten fully on board this ship and I had to hide all her posts because they were literally a cry for help with her mental illness.
