This is where we part ways. I cannot compute the hours of my life I have irretrievably lost to watching dumb fucking Asians back into parking stalls. It is an epidemic here in the pineapple latitudes and it drives me up the wall. Park on your own goddamn time, not while I'm waiting. Civilized (read: white) people nose into their parking stalls because we know how to drive in reverse, will check clearances before doing so, and are considerate enough that we don't keep others waiting. This is the only, only, singular, solitary, absolutely, unmistakably correct way to park.

In another installment of my surreal life, one time I got into my car and thought wth, did someone clean up my car, and then looked out the window, and there was an identical car two spaces away. So I got out and then got into my car. If I weren't so messy I would have driven away. And since the key was apparently identical he would have done the same with mine. Since cars know the way home I would have gone to his house, and his prosopagnosiac wife would have made me dinner. He would have gone to my crappy apartment and, since people retcon everything, fallen into a deep depression, autoimplanting false memories about how he ended up in such a sad state. Since people don't pay much attention I would have gone to the office and fallen into the routine. At the company Christmas party I'd have hooked up with the MILFy regional manager, gotten a promotion and moved to Atlanta with the wife and our two, make that three, kids. I'd have invested the 401K well and retired to Burgandy. I'd have been Julie Delpy's five to seven, argued with my kids about speaking French in the house and my grapes would be sought by a discriminating coterie of vintners.

Man, I should have stayed in his car.
