Direct TV is not as good as that old Satellite TV system where you floated through porn every time you changed the channel.

Direcway (for internet connection) is still trying to reach contact with their operating satellite in space. It's now called HughesNet but you still have to call India and try to "ping" their lost satellite.

I've had DirecTV for 8.5 yrs and other than the occasional loss of signal due to HEAVY rain or snow, I've never had any problems.

Dont use the HughesNet system for interwebs, I use cable. very reliable. Never had any problems.
When I was on DSL I was always having outages
