Ricky Williams is a white stoner trapped in the body of an alpha nigger.

He came across a lot more compelling and less fragile than I thought he would have.
Did you guys see him on Lebatard's show on ESPN2? The one with his (Lebatard's) dad?

I thought that was incredible to watch.

A biopic on Sheik would be entertaining as hell, but probably pretty sad too.

I have seen Broke a few times now, and each time I have a different reaction.

On the one hand, I wonder what I would have done with that kind of money in my early 20's. I still wonder how I would handle it in my late 20's, but I hate most of my family and my friends are mostly not deadbeats, so I'd probably be fine.

On the other hand, how many times do you need to hear the stories of athletes going bust, sometimes when they're still playing, to get it? Apparently a lot. Of course, if it was that easy, nobody with money would ever go broke in any line of work.

It was pretty good. The main point was talking about he was kind of a mythical athlete. I think my favorite part was when they talked about how he nonchalantly ran up the outfield wall after making a catch. Worth a watch particularly if you were around at that time.

The guy could have (probably should have) ended up like Marcus Dupree but he seems to have a very good internal compass. I left being more impressed with Bo the human being than Bo the athlete as amazing as he was.

I love Sheiky, I was just wondering what Albert did to get called out as a dumb Jew.

Someone reach out the Sheik and invite him to start posting here.

Bo is still my all time favorite athlete.

I used to tape his baseball games on TV, somewhere I still have his comeback game with the White Sox on tape when he hit the home run for his first at bat after surgery, his "time out, oh fuck they missed it... home run" on tape and I remember where I was when he injured his hip.

I had his shoes, his book, three posters of him in action (no homo) and had an almost idol worship of his athletic ability. He may have been one of the best pure athletes in our generation.

He is a class act as a person and a lot of athletes who's careers were cut short by injury like that probably wouldn't be the same. He made a good career for himself after sports, clearly he was raised right.

At least he also chose to act like a little prick talking about the Jamaican track team. Consistent.

Yeah, 9.79 was good. It didn't make me feel sick the way Larry and Muhammad did. Was well done.

I'm not sure if it was a 30 for 30, but it was done by ESPN, was the one on Magic Johnson getting HIV.

The little girl crying while talking about being stigmatized (my term, not hers since she was probably 7 or so at the time) was a gut punch.

edit: not sure how or when I saw it, but it's coming up tomorrow: http://espn.go.com/espn/espnfilms/story ... nouncement
