So I'm looking at my cold coffee brewer and contemplating a coffee extract smoothie. Hmmmmm

I just got a vitamix and a nutribullet.

I'll let you shit dicks know which one is really better.

Just guessing, I foresee giving the nutribullet away to a homeless person.

Cold coffee, peppermint mocha protien powder, some ice and a little coconut milk. I add hydroxicut sometimes.

Passed up a super cold sugar free Red Bull in the fridge in favor of a NB (spinach, clementine, banana, apple slices). Gonna don the sweat pants and head out into a frigid garage gym. I expect to pull successive PRs.

By now you've likely come to realize the sheer folly in spending hundreds on a vitamix for home use when the Nutribullet's versatility and power can be had for less than a third of the cost while delivering top-notch shakes as promised by over a dozen in this thread.

I got a nutribullet for Christmas. It makes poopy colored shakes that don't taste too much like the greens you have to put in.

Yeah, but it does it at 1/3 the price of a Vitamix.

One of the hottie soccer moms we know got a Vitamix for Xmas. She says she has to add(additional) liquids to get recipe drinks to blend through and Vitamix doesn't do frozen fruit well (directions in fact say to semi-defrost according to her).

I'm pretty sure our NUTRIBULLET can liquify rocks...even frozen rocks.

You know what I say to the Vitamix? I say FUCK the Vitamix. Fight against the oppressive marketing forces that are trying to control your mind and your purchasing decisions my brothers. You don't need to spend 500 fucking dollars on a shitty ass blender just because some no-dick motherfucker is miked up juicing bananas in CostCo and telling how awesome it is. Spend 80 dollars on the Nutribullet and now you've got 420 bucks to spend on strippers and booze. Unless you're Spells, then that money can go to cross-stitching, scrap-booking and crochet supplies.

Anyone keep these things longer than like 20 or 30 minutes? Could I make one in the morning and drink it in the afternoon at work? Do they separate?

It separates some. I'd recommend throwing it in a chilled thermos. Stir it with a spoon and the consistency will come back.

Are you trying to tell me that you don't have a shaker cup thing for protein shakes? I have a pair of questions: 1) how do you mix up a quick protein shake without breaking out the stick blender/NB, and 2) how do people at the office know that you work out unless you roam the halls with a shaker cup? NB + shaker cup is a winning combo.

See, this is what I'm talking about and Loosebowels said it perfectly...the Nutribullet isn't just a device to chop/blend/liquify your life enhancing and muscle building concoctions. It's a fucking status symbol...it says take a look at this shit motherfucker!! You don't get shredded abs, cannonball shoulders, and pecs the size of serving platters eating a fucking Cliff bar. You've got to grind up a whole bunch of shit most people have never heard of to get a body like this, and this is the best device to do it. Now get on your knees cuz these nutz aren't gonna just start sucking themselves.

Yeah, the protein shaker spring thing was what I was thinkin, wasn't sure if it'd be necessary.

I've been using spinach, chia seeds, chocolate pro powder, frozen banana, almond milk. They're pretty good, sometimes I'll toss a little pb in there too.

you guys putting apples in w/ the skin/core or peelin and slicin?

Apples: cored and quartered with skin on and you should be good to go. To be clear, you could throw the core in and the Nutribullet would absolutely annihilate it; we just feed the apple cores to the animals (pets).

Funny you mention 'superhero'. I made what I just dubbed a "Hulk Smash Shake" for the kids this morning:

Ton of mixed 'power greens' (big ole bag at Costco for 5 bucks, I stuffed two handfuls of greens into the large drink shaker)
One ripe banana
Coconut Water
Tablespoon of frozen OJ concentrate

End result was super bright green and very tasty. This was served with fried egg sammiches on white toast w. butter. The kids loved it.

Also, Costco must have heeded our advice on this thread as they're now carrying the Nutribullet as a regular item vs. that multihundreddollarripoff known as Vitamix.

2 tablespoons Bragg organic apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon honey
Juice from 1/2 a lemon
A chunk of ginger
And fill the small cup to the fill line with water

Get some!

Only if you heated it and added a shot of bourbon...

The only bourbon that should be mixed with anything comes in a plastic bottle.

I had that pre-cold feeling today and figured, WTF shy not try this elixir? I made it more or less per EZ's recipe and it wasn't bad - for medicine. Then I got to thinking that spirits always help with any cold related situation and I had a bottle of rye nearby so I topped it off with the rye and heated it up.

It made the taste a little worse but I'm sure I'll be 101% cured by morning.

It's just a recipe I found to try and get my apple cider vinegar.
