Matthew McConaughey...nice little film, didn't hear much buzz but worth checking out.

Yep. Worth watching.

I saw this at the Angelika theater when it was out. Thought I posted something about it but maybe not. Very good film.

Mud was great! The boy who played Neckbone hadn't played in any other movie before. He fit the role of a dirt bike riding, fishing, Arkansas boy because that precisely what he is. Nichols thought he fit the part and a month Neckbone was on set. Pretty cool imo.

This is part of a trilogy Bucket? I haven't seen Take Shelter but I did see Shotgun Stories which I really liked but there doesn't seem to be an interwoven story line connecting Mud and Shotgun Stories other than being set in Arkansas. Is there something I'm missing?

Neckbone was in Justified last season as the young Crow.

I can't find info on the trilogy either, was it a different director?

Didn't Reese Witherspoon look like a sexy little hooker in those short-shorts and wedges? I never gave her second thought in anything I happened to watch that she was in but in this particular case I was down with licking her boom-boom.

Yes. I've always liked her though.

I don't mind if it gets a little rough. I like it rough.
