Save your money. I like Rory's musings on the mind and combat and chaos. I know of his martial resume, etc. This video is basically like film of his casual class in the park.
The good stuff-
1. His organization of the mechanics of locking
2. His organization of joints, [ball & socket, gliding, hinge]
3. Emphasizing joint locking is but a single tool in your box and NOT complete
4. Emphasizing non resistance, go with the flow and transitions.
5. His calm instructional voice. You can see how he must have used it to 'talk down' crazies.
The bad stuff-
1. He and a larger student are kind of going through a pummeling/locking freestyle in the beginning. It had lots of holes in it.
2. The students at times just had poor body position,.. but they are students.
3. He could have given more meat. Start at a lock flow, show how it works and what to do if resistance happens.
4. The video was under an hour. It seemed a bit short.
5. When pinning a student to the ground,.. he seemed to not even fathom the idea of knee on stomach for control.
Maybe teaching SWAT or Bouncers would be a better venue with more of an edge, but I was disappointed.
Better material?
1. Larry Hartsell's lock flows are on Youtube for free.
2. ISR Matrix from Luis Guiterrez and Paul Sharp is fantastic. Really good.
3. Rodney King's material, [Clinch 2005] is SOLID
4. Cliff Stewart's WAR system. Locking is called PAC-- Protective Assault Control
Remember, this is specific to joint locking, not the full spectrum of grappling.

Might be why he was not showing knee on stomach, along with his Ju Jutsu background being a Koryu. In our style we have KOS but it's not used that much and think of it form Rory's perspective, it exposes the balls and where he ciut his teeth, you'll probably face more "Maimers" than on the street.
I am sure he knows it, he was a competitive Judoka in his youth.
