Spectacular Spider-Man

Post by Turdacious »

Older Spider Man animated series that was cancelled after basically one season. A mix of the Spectacular Spider Man comic from the late 80's-early 90's and the Stan Lee Spider Man. It has all the weaknesses of the Spectacular Spider Man comic of the era (second rate villains and poor general quality relative to Amazing Spider Man) and has saturday morning cartoon level animation-- but other than that it's great. Probably the best Spidey adaptation ever done. Designed for kids, but enjoyable for adults. IMHO the second best superhero series in recent times (second to Batman Animated-- a distant second).

I thought the X-Men cartoon series from the early, mid-90's was pretty good and on par with the Batman series.

Serious question.

I don't have problems with regularity, so maybe.

How do you feel about Season 2 of the He-Man cartoon vs Season 3 of GI Joe? Did either of these ever reach the sustained peak of the initial Scooby Doo series?

Hey fuckers don't be hatin'. I loved watching GI Joe and Transformers with the kids. Don't even get me started on Thudercats.
