Always on the hunt for new (to me) music.
This guy, Eric Gales, is an insanely good guitarist that I had never heard of, stumbled onto him while browsing the Youtubes.

Core car listening has been Billy Joe Shaver and Waylon and Loretta and Jerry Jeff Walker and Robert Earl Keen and Rev Horton Heat for decades. Sturgill since he hit the scene. But last few weeks Molly Hatchet has been getting heavy play. Idk why. And Supergrass' album with Caught by The Fuzz.
Core home is Haydn (80%) and Mozart and early Sun Ra and Gilbert and Sullivan. But Gluck and Telleman are storming up the charts recently.
I do a lot of things pretty much constantly, it's strange.

Music is a psy op.
Why do cars have radios? Because they want to make sure you get your conditioning. You get to pick which kind but it doesn't matter. 99% of people will pick the programming they're supposed to, and they will think and feel what the latest diktak says. It took me a long time to realize this. Take the most seemingly innocuous music, easy listening. It's there to lull you into a state of placid passivity. It's okay if the government is doing tyranny, the corporations are helping them and doing their own evil, the kids are doing drugs, your life is going down the drain, no worries, as long as you can listen to something happy in your box. I have been guilty of this along with everyone else. I honestly believe we would have had a far better society in the U.S. if cars didn't have radios. People would realize how shitty their lives are.
It's worse than the above even. There are things that are only enjoyable if you're dumb and unevolved. People lower their IQ and mindset so they can enjoy the dopey things on offer. I've done this too. It hurt me and it hurts you too. Stop poisoning yourselves. Don't become a zombie.

The Beatles were absolutely an Mi6 psy-op. And I hate them and their music so much I can't even put it into words. It is exactly as you say. And Dylan was too. Leonard Coen(sp?) Was an actual spy. Post wwii the CIA went insane and just decided to remake culture. Holy shit the Eagles too. Horrible evil terrible psy-op. And I still laugh at the doofs who worship the CATHOLIC Bruce Springsteen hahahba. Yeah very catholic looking abd acting dude that Springsteen.
But Jerry Lee and Billy Joe Shaver and Waylon Jennings were not psy-ops

I was all set to brush this off as the utterance of a depraved mind. But, then I remembered that modern art really was a CIA psy-op and reconsidered; see:

You idea may have merit. It's certainly true that most mass media is intended as neutralizing pablum to be downed compliantly with a cocktail of alcohol, SSRI's, pornography, and anomie.

Look at some photos of people circa 1910. If you take out the ones suffering from malnutrition you'll see a different kind of people than people today. Even in my lifetime it's changed a lot. Look at any documentary made around 1970ish, or observe the extras in any movie of that time. Obviously there are way fewer Fatty Fatterson McFatsos but also observe their beingness. People then were far more developed, far more mature looking, far more complete. Only the top 5% or less of today's people seem as fully grown as the average person of that era. There have always been some dummies and screwups and slackers, but the average person of that time had far more withitness than people today.

Here's something that most people don't think about. I didn't either until recently. Look at the things that governments do. Stick to the ones that are proven. Look at the scale and scope and intent of things like MKUltra, or the Snowden revelations, or the actions taken since 9/11. One can assume that they are only doing those specific things, or one can infer that they're probably doing a lot of other things that we don't know about. When you think about the fact tht the FBI has infiltrated almost all organizations or attempted to, then it's not paranoid to ask whether they are also doing other things. It seems unlikely that they wouldn't seek to control or at least influence movies, TV, music and books.

Exactly, but horrifying to think that even the best of us are really only seeing the tip of the iceberg.

Here's one that will haunt you: How much smarter would you have been without TV, government school and toxins? How much better would you feel day to day? How much of ourselves do we lose every day?

Regarding music, I think The Rut is something to avoid. There are songs I've listened to way too much. We all have. It causes us to stay in a similar place, only worse, because we aren't that person anymore. It's one thing if it's a few special songs at certain times but that's not what we do. We seek comfort in the familiar, which is maybe okay for a while, but after a while it causes stupidity and backwardness. I mean, if you're a teenager driving to a party in 1977, listening to The Eagles makes perfect sense. If you're 50, dude, really? Find something new. Even if it's old.

I have mixed feelings about this. Some of the less desirable experiences of my youth made me what I am today, and I'm pretty pleased with where I'm at. I feel like I had an accelerated course in fucking up my life so that I got it out of my system early and moved forward with a productive life. I also believe that you can learn from almost any experience, even vegetating in front of a TV, with the right frame of mind.
