No, what you're saying is "fuck Obama." Bush took the country to war in Afghanistan - even you can admit that. Was it a good war in 2006? January 2009?
Obama's policy is getting us nowhere, as with most of his policies, but it's a joke to pretend that he all the years of war before he reached office never happened.
We are only there now because Obama the Magnificent claimed it was the smart war to be fighting, and nobody questioned that because he is so smart.

i wish. What is going on now is a joke and will leave us on 3 "Ft Apache" islands. In the micro we are very effective at dealing with the bad actors, but in the macro it has no point or endgame and gives the worst players access to the mineral resources. And our unwillingness to deal with and confront the Paks and their infiltrated intell networks make it all a lose/lose game.
