I know you're trying to be funny, but self defense is a basic human right, and there is no way it can possibly be used but for the victim to decide that now is the moment to act. It is not predicated on carry permits, the 2nd Amendment, nor any other part of the Constitution.

I find the absoluteness of a lot of the arguments on either side of the debate of these kind of issues to be far less logical than my statement.
