Jack points out yet another of the great injustices in this world, that we can no longer get the small diesel motor Hilux in this country. Those are such excellent trucks.

Agree. I have always been a Toyota fan and used to have a '04 Tacoma. My favorite vehicle that I have owned. I always wanted a Hilux. I would get another Tacoma, same model, if I didn't have the need for a full size pickup.Blaidd Drwg wrote:In any product, a tricked out version of the lowest cost/value model will always be a piece of shit.

That's not even close to ridiculous.seeahill wrote:What kind of pathetic wannabe spends $55,000 for this? Really.

Come to think of it, neither are any of these. Pathetic involves visible duct tape and bondo.

Sure, It's America, and you can drive any vehicle you want.Shapecharge wrote:Although that truck is not my thing who the fuck do you think you are Timmah to fucking piss on some dude's good vibes that he gets from having a truck tricked out the way he wants? Are you paying for it motherfucker? I didn't think so. Last I checked this was fucking AMERICA and we can pretty much drive whatever the fuck we want. Personally I like custom made rear spoilers made out of wood and stick on fake front fender vents but that's just me. So keep your opinions to yourself cheesedick.
But it's also America, so I can ridicule your ass for driving it.

Ford Raptor, straight off the line, could probably do it easy.Shafpocalypse Now wrote:How many stock trucks can take a jump like that?

Well...the passenger window didn't even blow out so I'd declare victory to whichever department worked on that system.
I don't think you can case many double jumps in any 4 wheeled vehicle and expect to not sustain serious manglage..

I've got a buddy that has one...that's not quite what it was designed for but low grade desert terrain...all day long. It's not a rock crawler.
And Timmah, go piss up a rope.

Re: Ford "Black Ops" F-150...
I bought my truck in 2008 - I needed to be able to haul some material (4x8 sheets of drywall/etc.)/trash and I was hoping for an extended cab so I'd have room for a little bit of shit behind the seat.
A Ranger or a Tacoma would have suited me fine... except that every damn thing available was pimped out for people who need heated seats in their pickup. Full-size trucks were cheaper and I wound up with a quad-cab Ram 1500 for under $20k.
My Ram just crossed over 100k miles. I'm going to drive it til it falls apart and hopefully by then I won't need a truck anymore.

That's fair. Toyota never did impress re: pricepoint and features in the fullsize market. The little compact trucks are where they dominated. I'd not heard the frame rust bit but de-icing measures in the N Central and N East will eventually kill anything ferrous.
I predict the small truck market will be back.
