I'm going to be a father

The title says it all. She is currently eight weeks along and we won't know the gender for another 7 to 8 weeks. To say that I am excited and happy is a complete understatement. Surprisingly, I'm not the least bit nervous.

He or she will be a gracious monarch. No worries.

Oh, and pregnancy mood swings/changes are a big deal. And very real. Hopefully she will remain mostly sane. But if she doesn't, well, it can't be helped and she will come around once the birthing/nursing is all over. We do become a mommy/baby hybrid and that includes crabbiness, irrational behavior, and mood swings. It also can include really motivated and well-carried out house and home improvement projects. Maybe some landscaping. Nesting can be very useful if directed well.

It's already started with the remodeling and landscaping. Lol. Sadly I won't be there for a good chunk of it due to tech school but my presence would probably drive her even further towards the looney bin.
