It might be the best thread on IGX right now.

I've never watched Mad Men, but Breaking Bad is one of the best TV shows I've ever seen. I've watched through season 4 on Netflix. I'm trying to wait for Netflix to get season 5, but I might break down and watch it on Amazon streaming.
Homeland is the next disk on Netflix DVD queue.

Hey Mr. Pink, this is our Honeycomb Hideout (great cereal!!) and you have to be invited before you can post in this thread. You have to have a pet frog, don't like girls, and have a cool stingray bike like we do. If not then fuck off.

Pitch me a Baff ten bucks each and you're in. I need a passport photo for your ID badge.

Shape, don't forget his SSN. For proper record keeping.

Re: Hey Shape, Check Out Ths Homeland Trailer
I get a real sketchy vibe from Mr. Pink. I just don't trust that dude plus he works for the Federal Reserve which is some quasi-governmental agency that I don't really understand. It's murky and weird to me and is no doubt developing ways to fuck us all out of our money. I'm not sure we want him in the cool guy club now that I think about it.
Re: Hey Shape, Check Out Ths Homeland Trailer
Two thoughts:
1) We need a cool initiation process to smoke out the weirdos that would want to be part of such an esteemed alliance of outstanding minds.
2) Are there possibly some advantages of having a G-Man on the inside?

Re: Hey Shape, Check Out Ths Homeland Trailer
Completely agree on point number 1.
Initiate a complete background check on Mr. Pink to determine if he's relevant and worth the time and risk to develop him as an asset. He "says" he works for the Federal Reserve but in what capacity we don't know. He could be on the custodial staff (an honorable profession) or, god forbid, in their IT department. If he's really some type of policy mover/shaker then perhaps we should allow him in...but keep close watch on this fucker also, my gaydar is fully pegged on this dude.

Hmmm.
This started about Homeland. A show with a plot line about conspiracies and shit.
Pinky just shows up in this thread and wants in. Coincidence?
I say let him in, but definitely keep a close eye on him. What if he goes full blown homo for Mad Men?

My mom said I don't have to give your bike back Shape cops or not. You'll be happy to know my dad said you can have your pants back as the rise was way to high but he did appreciate the offer... Whatever that means. As far as the $20 I suppose I could leave it on the dresser next time I'm over.

Never watched the Wire. I'm a cheap cocksucker so I don't have the main pay cable channels.

I'll have to consult with Shape, but I'm pretty sure EZ is good for the club.

Re: Hey Shape, Check Out Ths Homeland Trailer
Anyone who's a fan of good TV should watch Generation Kill (from the guys who did The Wire) - fucking great (mini)series.
I'm almost done with S3 of Breaking Bad, I feel like it's lost some dramatic momentum from the first two seasons but I don't want to drop spoilers with why. Still looking forward to working on S4/5.

I feel insulted that you are bringing up Generation Kill like nobody knew how great it is/was.
You motherfucker, don't drop that kind of shit in this thread again.

All are welcome into our bitchin' club EXCEPT for Mr. Pink...his shit has to be checked out. He's got to prospect for us for awhile until he gets his colors.
And Milktoast don't even fuckin' think for one second you're hip to some shit that we didn't already discover before it happened.

I now work for a university. Sure, that's also a quasi-government institution, but most of my connections to the Federal government have been severed.
Really, I promise.

Then welcome Mr. Pink. Are you banging some fine young pussy in your university role?
Re: Hey Shape, Check Out Ths Homeland Trailer
IGX is still talking about the Wire like it's some crazy new shit, my expectations of the crowd being up to date were diminished.baffled wrote:I feel insulted that you are bringing up Generation Kill like nobody knew how great it is/was.
