Right now I'm kickin' it old school with a Screwdriver made with Sobieski Vodka. Then, I'm gonna live a little dangerous-like and blast through 2' of hard packed snow around the bird feeders in the front yard with my new, MTD 26", 2 Stage, 208cc snowblower. Not the baddest machine on the snow but can throw hard packed snow 30' easily.




EDIT: Kids and Kettleballers, don't try this at home--even with chalk. I am a TRAINED AND CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL.

Czechvar is the one true Budweiser. They fight A&B around the world for the right to sell as Budweiser. I was in a pub in Toronto over the weekend and wanted something light and I remembered seeing this on a travel show. It is an excellent lager....excellent.

This is my new Winter cocktail, which I will drink until Summer hits the Northwest (July 5).

1 oz. Hornitos Reposado Tequila
1 oz. Vodka*
Juice of 1/2 a lemon
Add Lemon Crystal Light (I know, I know) for a little sweet
6 oz./half can of Sparkling Water
Ice

I call it a HorniRita.

Never seen this Shiner selection before, only the Hefe around here most of the time. I've been drinking the pils lately... how does it compare to Czechvar or Urquell?

Its 9% alcohol content demands respect but it's a very tasty double IPA

Combination of a belgian and an IPA. Starts like a belgian, ends up like an IPA, with a little bit of a citrus taste in between. The bitterness is straightforward, but lasts. A little heavy. Wouldn't call it a great beer, but the bitter hops aftertaste makes it worth drinking slow. I don't want to like it, but I do.
