With consumer confedence in the swamp and uncertianty, the kind of people that were hiring me left and right, with about the shitiest marketing and web presence but good word of mouth (or email.) are not so free with their money. I have a handfull of fitness and self defense clients now but 4 years ago I would have twice of what I have easily.

I'll take responsability on my end for getting a hernia,not being better orginaized but the enviroment is far different now than 4 years ago.

I live in one of the better areas of the country to ride out a recession and it's pretty tight here.

YES! Say no to your kids, often and with vigor. Teach them that life does not accommodate your every whim. Two of the biggest things I see that today's crunchy-yuppie parents seem to flake out on is telling their kids no and not teaching them actions beget consequences. Shit's a lot better for me. My biggest economic problem is a lack of quality employees. Most applicants have essentially written "space filler" as their desired position. 28 year olds with multiple convictions that are still a couple classes short of their GED are the only ones looking for jobs. Damn Obama for keeping them down.

Clinton didn't come to the center until his 2nd term. Obama will do the same because he sees Clinton making $10M+ per year being Bill Clinton.
