1. Have a already solid base of more traditional aerobics training.
2. Say they are not interested in winning races anymore
Funny how Twight was all super gungho about Crossfit style training, and then after the cheap and easy adaptations played out, found that specificity was the key, after all, but these fucksticks are still beating the faggot drum.

Some of the louder drum beaters never had #1 or even got close to #2. Those that are actually winning things (a small few that BMacNCheeze puts on a pedestal) are glorified/idolized on the homepage. Those that fail don't end up on the homepage...unless they're pimping out their sunscreen products as a poster boy model.Shafpocalypse Now wrote:So, basically, XFE enthusiasts:

Sorry, but no. What's your Fran time?Gary John wrote:Have run the Double Dipsea, the quad is just gay stupid.
First time I ran the Dipsea, was in the summer of my sophomore high school year.
I ran the all-comers meets and was cleaning the clocks of all the JC and college runners in the 440.
So, one of the distance guys told me about a race in Marin County over a rolling golf course.
I brought my track spikes only, and at the time you couldn't remove the spikes.
Turns out, it started in Mill Valley, went up some 400 stairs, then up and down trails to the ocean. Spikes tore my feet to shreds.
Beat everybody but the most elite runners. My dad cut my shoes off when I finished.
I must have been an x-fitter back then.

Commenting on "abstinence and athletic performance"
Is this guy fucking serious?so, what about the idea of getting plenty but just holding back your "wod", and only releasing once a week?
Really? Not so sure this guy understands anything about anything.blue balls is a myth made up to convince high school girls to give it up.
Not as many gold mines as Barry Cooper posts, but every post I see seems to surpass the last.

Re: The couch thread
It may have something to do with the accreditation process. They can only offer courses that are under their accreditation process and that does not cover most contracted certs until a standard is set for all of them.Quack Attack wrote:Something would appear to be up. There isn't a single specialty seminar listed as scheduled on the "certs" page: http://www.crossfit.com/cf-info/specialty_certs.html
Only Level 1 and "couch prep" courses. Camel's back (as in the SMEs) may have been broken.
But, then again, I can't find them listed anywhere as an applicant or otherwise on the ANSI website.

Specialty stuff is still on main page, they just don't list them on the "Specialty Certs" specific page. My error.syaigh wrote:It may have something to do with the accreditation process. I think the ANSI thing is total BS for show. Sort of like actually listing Louie Simmons as their SME for "Powerlifting Certification" when he's only done a single private one for HQ cronies. Or like the Swedish "study" being done on @F. Sending in an application is not quite the same as achieving the end goal.

If she's dead or paralyzed maybe you and WGM can make fun of her like when you mocked the girl that eventually died of cancer. That was pretty funny. Nothing says laughs quite like poking fun at someone dying of cancer.Stillwater wrote:If you're offended by stupidity please don't watch.

That is a new exercise invented at @fit called the "Turkish Get Down", or "TGD". Couch conceived it while recovering from bender in Rosarita beach at the bottom of an elevator shaft.
NO!...Lisa Shui’s full-time occupation is a personal trainer in a globo gym, and while she doesn’t workout in a traditional CrossFit setting...

Incredibly weak performer. A true @fit extrovert knows that the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about.
