"Vegas is a fucking theme, dude, that shit doesn't fool me.
Every fighter I know wants to move there and wants to live there. You gotta be kidding me. These fucking assholes. I mean -- I love it, because they're that dumb, I'm like, "I can't wait to fight 'em, they're so stupid."
They thrive off these big fucking fake-titty mutant chicks that are fucking disgusting whores, every last one of them. They're all trying to do something to get somwhere, or if they're out there they're trying to fucking do it up with their old man somewhere else.
It's just like, and regardless, you're there -- if I were there, I'd be there to meet some people, you know, like some endorsement deals, some things or whatnot. These people, they end up wanting to live there and move there. All they do is go out and drink and they can't -- they all drink. Even the ones that -- even athletes there that don't drink, the other ones force them into drinking and they don't go out and stand around drink water like I do. I've seen 'em and they all fucking move to Vegas and they go to these clubs and it's just like, "Dude you are fucking kidding me."
You know, I feel like I can go out there and live somewhere in a place like that -- probably not that place, ever, I can hardly stay there for a fucking week, I hate it there, honestly -- and then you know, make some money for myself, move back here, to some little spot, you know what I mean, where there's fucking a vineyard on the side of it and I can shoot rabbits outside of my door with a shotgun and nobody's gonna say shit to me. That would make me happy."

"My car pulled up in front of the hotel and he and his girlfriend and his mom and dad were there," Diaz said. "Right away, he put his mug on me. He was staring me down and trying to give the impression that he's hard core. I flipped him off, but he's standing over there like he's flashing. I go, 'What the fuck are you doing? I'm not the one doing shit.' I couldn't understand why this guy is putting his mug on me, but he had to act like he was some kind of a fucking tough guy in front of his girlfriend and his Dad. This is war, this is life, and I take this very seriously," Diaz said. "I'm not the one bringing my family into the ring and showing them off. I'm not the one who (showed up to the pre-fight news conference) in a fucking suit trying to act like I'm some kind of tough guy asshole rich kid. This is war to me and we have a serious situation on our hands now."

"Because I'm telling you right now, these people that fucking do steroids, you know what I mean? I'm like, I wish everything was legal, because that would give them the chance to go out there and make their mark and then burn the fuck out. And that's when I come in with my consistency, because I'm coming."

I leave you with Nick Diaz, in a fight, picking another fight.

No doubt Nick is all in whatever he's doing. I'm a big fan but damn I just don't know if he can take the seemingly gay cyborg know as GSP.

Re: The Wisdom of Nick Diaz
I was reading about his incredible endurance. He does somewhere around 10 triathlons a year.
“My typical day starts off with a thirty to fifty mile bike ride, then a five to seven mile run. After that I take a break. Then I go do a boxing workout and practice jujitsu five, six or sometimes seven days a week.”
The following is from an article written prior to the Condit fight.
When he’s not preparing for his next fight, he’s either riding 20 to 30 miles on his road or mountain bike, swimming 2,200 meters, or going for a quick 10-mile run. In fact, Diaz competes in nearly 10 triathlons every year, often times taking first place in his age division. “His cardiovascular fitness is astounding,” says Gracie. “He has no off switch. No one trains like him, and no one is as insanely intense.”
In the weeks prior to Saturday’s fight, Diaz’s days were marathons. He’d wake up, go for a ride or a swim, then hit Gracie’s gym for bout after bout of 5-minute sessions of sparing, grappling, and mitt work, only to return to the gym to spar again around nine o’clock. He’d top his days off around midnight with some weight training or a 5-mile run. What fuels all of that training is the culinary extension of his intensity: Diaz eats no gluten, dairy, red or white meat, or GMO foods, and subsists only on organic fish, vegetables, nuts, and grains.

How's that for a base of cardiovascular fitness?

Well then he won't be breathing too hard when GSP smashes him.

His workload is about on par with a decent Cat 3 or a first year Expert Mtb'er....without counting the mat time.Mickey O'neil wrote:In this clip he talks about tris and how it compares to mma.

Can see where that focus comes from.
The calculation bit resonates...Diaz the cerebral fighter.
So there!

I don't like his repressed homosexual ass, but he is one of the few interesting personalities left in MMA besides Teh Chael.

He damaged for sure but the man will scrap. I bet he'd take a fight with Velasquez if they let him.

The best part was the hydrogenated chocolate comment.
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

Truth. Stockton is great for witnessing random acts of violence.Fat Cat wrote:“Fighting in Stockton is going to be great for me. Stockton is a great fight town because if you drive long enough on some of these roads you’ll probably see a pretty good street fight.”

What a dumb fuck!
And it funny about his training camp comment. I guess he's not up on the history of fight sports?
Lot's of fighters have left home and gone of to camps to train Ali went to the country a lot. Shit in MMA dod not Tito go up to Big Bear to train?
It funny he is such an asshole for a stoner.

Re: The Wisdom of Nick Diaz
On the list of cities to go train in so you can be free of distractions, Stockton is definitely on there. There's nothing in Stockton. I have to go into Stockton from time to time and every time, I come away noting how aloof and hardened everyone seems to be. It really sucks. Maybe only surpassed by Sacramento (the city, not some of the suburbs), Fresno and Galt.
I had a fraternity brother in college who knew the Diaz brothers. Said they were cool to know if they didn't hate you. Had some crazy stories about both brothers.
If you want to keep your edge but don't want to leave home, Stockton is as good of a place to be as any.
