The really sad thing here is that with every lie, the press destroys its own fragile credibility in the eyes of the American people. So that if Trump actually does violate the law in order to profit personally, most people won't believe it.

i'd urge you not to go overboard with bashing the intel guys.

after the intel briefing, trump did admit that russia probably hacked the dnc. so that is a 100% confirmation from trump that a foreign power stole private information. that's a bad thing. period. so the intel people had that right. period.

(by the way, i like how trump blames the dnc for being hacked., i.e. blames the victim. the democrats were asking to be raped, wearing those sexy pant suits.)

as for the russians hacking republicans and trump, that's uncertain. the golden shower is distracting people from the underlying issue, as i have noted.

as to whether the intel guys briefed trump on the russian hack of republican stuff and trump stuff, trump said he couldn't discuss what was said in a confidential briefing, meaning, i think, yeah, they told him.

none of us knows what the intel guys have. you do not know. drawing conclusions with no facts is like dividing by zero. you got nothing.

1) IC called a briefing on Russian Hacking.

2) IC leaked the briefing material and an addendum to the report on Disinformation which was never shown to Trump.

3) Buzzfeed printed the entire set of documents.

4) CNN printed the contents of the addendum via a claim the addendum had been shown to Trump and that it was treated as possibly true.

Yes. We have libel and slander laws. A website called Gawker was destroyed after Peter Thiel funded a lawsuit against them via Hulk Hogan. Thiel has stated publicly he is gioing after buzzfeed now. What buzzfeed did here is textbook libel of a public figure. They in serious legal jeopardy. CNN less so.
