Gary Johnson.
Trump with nukes is a scary thought indeed. Still not scary enough to get me to vote for her.

From a non U.S. citizen, "outside looking in" point of view, hilary appears to be a liar with no real vision for the country, only a vision for feathering her own nest. With Trump it would be interesting to see a POTUS who isn't beholden to the usual bipartisan puppet masters.
But then I wonder if the perfect POTUS would actually be equal parts Bernie and Trump (different parts of course).
Most of the Trump hype is him playing up for free publicity (look at how much he's spent compared to the other 'front runners'). Also the hype and hate for him is created by a press who WANT Hilary to win because she will be a good puppet. Trump worries them as he won't cow-tow those fuckers who like to own the POTUS. Also Putin loves Trump, as a non U.S. based spectator, that isn't necessarily a negative.
Peace.

You obviously aren't American because that would never fit on a nicely worded meme.

But they would be the classiest, most magnificent gold-lined nuclear weapons ever!

Trump's independence is a myth. He's taking and will continue to take money hand over fist just like anyone else.

I was very confident I wouldn't vote for Hillary, but I would if Trump were the GOP nominee. GOP needs to get its shit together, and if he's nominated, he needs to lose very decisively.
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

I like Trump for two reasons:
1) That goofy hat is hilarious. I got one for Christmas, and whenever I wear it, the looks I get are between amused and horror.

2) People think he's playing a role in destroying the Republican Party. I think the establishment isn't going anywhere, but if he shakes things up and opens it for others who aren't oafs to do some things down the line, then we're good. If Bernie did the same to the Dems, I'd be giddy, but he won't.

That said, I'm voting for Gary Johnson.

My Dad and I always get into this issue during election season. He thinks you vote for the one who makes you vomit the least. I tell him that puking is puking. I'm not voting for someone because I hate them less. I can't imagine a realistic situation where I'd use that kind of thinking to make a decision.

I either go with the person who I think has earned my vote, or I take a principled non-voter stance. Being less shitty isn't a way to earn a vote, IMO. This time around, I'm voting.

Nobody's individual vote matters. Civic duty matters.

Civic duty is the main reason I vote. The Dem always wins NY and most Repubs here are Dem lite anyway. However, this time, if Trump is on the ticket there are enough blue collar Dems that might vote for him that it could be a real contest.

That's what I was taught in Jr. High so it has to be true.

I don't know that NY is really in play, but I hope so. Hillary had two very easy Senate contests, and I don't think Trump has much of a chance here in NYC.
He does get a lot of those blue collar Reagan democrats. I don't think that can outweigh all the Midwestern liberals who move here.
In NY, and I think nationwide, it will hinge on the black vote. Will they show up for Hillary? I think they will.

If past is prologue that's true, but Trump's a different animal than any Republican they've seen. I don't think he'll ignore them as a lost voting block and will praise, promise, bribe, and cajole like they've never seen from a Republican. He may fail magnificently but I think we'll see an approach to black voters that's utterly unique for a Repub.

Trump is not really truly a Republican, near as I can tell. He's done a hostile takeover of the party, which is pretty amazing. Ripped the donor class' sweaty fingers right off the tiller and scooped up their voters.

The black vote in the Dem primaries is breaking for Clinton like it broke for Obama in 2008, she's got massive support (surprising, given her questionable record). It might not hit 95% again, but Hillary's got 90% nationwide sewed up.

This is my favorite part of the Facebook primary: White liberal Sanders supporters trying really hard to avoid the appearance of telling black people how to vote while also trying to tell black people how to vote.

On one hand you've got an extremely wealthy, dishonest, and corrupt megalomaniac.

And on the other hand you've got Trump.

It doesn't matter who wins - US presidential election is an expensive charade
An election is a public relations stunt to keep people convinced that they have a real say in things, and it serves to train them like Pavlov's dogs to begin salivating - yet again - at the prospect of things being different this time, when only an idiot doesn't know that things will be exactly as they have been up to now - only worse.

...The fact is: it doesn't matter who wins. We all know what we are going to get. It will be more of what we already got: more brutal police activity, more false-flag 'terrorism' justifying the lock-down big government wants, more surveillance, diminishing rights, and the promotion of a ubiquitous bogeyman (one with suspiciously professional marketing materials and matching fleets of Toyota off-road vehicles), more lies, more corruption, more wars which do not benefit the US, and then even more lies.
