Had issues and stopped at red star. Rain, wind, hail & snow. It was freezing! Being hypothermic and having diarrhea sucks!

Don't the hypothermia and diarrhea cancel each other out?

next week it's time to dust my fastpack off, and start training with my 16 pound pack. Getting ready for my Summer adventures. I will start with the JMT 212 miler (Unsupported woman's record) & TYT( 185 miles) link up. Jump off trail for a break, and to run, Run de Vous 100. Jump back on trail and fast pack the High Sierra trail 72 miler. Take a couple days off and go for a woman's unsupported record on the TRT( 165).

I would love to be able to do that shit. Wish I had the time for it.

Most people can do what she's doing. Some of us are just too busy with life's little annoyances -- like having to put food on the table or a roof over our heads. That's also what keeps some of us from looking like an emo teenager's doodlepad. The body can do amazing things when the mind's not burdened with living in reality. We could all hike across America if we had a hefty trust fund and some weird closet-homo Asian dude bankrolling us.

What does she do to be able to take off like that? I have met a few elite (that word has been watered down recently) endurance athletes and few are able to even cut back on their day job.

I know she has some kind of job with Whole Foods. Not like working in the store but some sort of representative type job? Not sure. I don't know that much else about her. Didn't even know she had kids.

No I don't think most people can do what she's doing, even if they had all the time they needed.

You make time for what's important in your life, dude.
She's a recovered drug addict; she obviously traded one addiction for another but I would say it's far better to be addicted to running than substance.
