I'm going with Bill Murray. He's been in multiple classics across several decades and has even received accolades for more serious roles.
He's still funny as fuck, to me.
Chevy Chase has always been dull and other than a few classics from the 80s, his career is done.
Eddie Murphy? He's the equivalent of that French airliner that crashed into the ocean for no good reason.
Who else has been around for awhile and is still having a great career?

Re: what comedian has had the best overall career?
This is a stupid question. Comedic preferences are so individual that half the people would give you good answers like Bill Murray, or even Robin Williams (not my favorite, but a reasonable case could be made), while others are going to do something stupid like say Jim Carrey or Dane Cook or some other ridiculous faggotry.
Fuck you and fuck this thread.

I'm gonna second what my bro Baff said you dirty dog dick lickin' liar and no good piece of shit.
Besides, sketch comedy vs standing up by a mic is not even in the same fucking ballpark. Punch yourself in the dick ten times for being such an asshole.

Frodo, recognize that Mario the Magnificent website fucker-upper, is hosting this thing on his upgraded Radio Shack TRS80 in his mom's basement and shit threads like this eat up memory. He only has like 5,000 floppy discs to store this stuff on and you're fucking around with non-serious stuff. We still haven't figured out Jack's homo link to the issues at PSU and you want to discuss who the best commedian is. What's next? The best sugar coated breakfast cereal?

I was a poor kid growing up and I always felt fucked over by not getting to eat the cool cereals that everyone else had like Fruit Loops and Lucky Charms and Cap'n Crunch. That's some fuckin' bullshit right there. There's tears in my eyes now.

Remember that first sleepover at the rich kid's house where you demolished an entire box of fruit loops in the wee hours of the morning? They call your parents, the 4 AM ride of shame? The roof of your mouth throbbing and raw. Your innocene lost, you weren't like those prep school fucks who had palate callouses built up from a life of Kellogs easy living.

Hey, no shit Blade...I think I was nine and my parents pushed me out of the car while it was still moving at some other people's fucked up house but they had a little more cash than us. I fucking snuck into their pantry and snatched up an unopend box of Apple Jacks...remember that one?...and ate the whole motherfucker, DRY.

I remember the commodity cereal that you had to eat in record time because it immediately got soggy.
Commodity cheese=WIN
All the other stuff was less than stellar.

Re: what comedian has had the best overall career?

And I second Bill Murray with Leslie Nielsen as an honorable mention.

My reviews are a high value contribution. Just because you blame your diarrhea "diet" and not a habit of lying with men doesn't mean you can just direct your anger outwards.
And I vote apple jacks.
