The Norwalk Hydraulic Press Juicer
Easy to use and makes great juice. See http://www.nwjcal.com/ It should last a life time.
Only one down side. It's expensive.

Juicing can wreak havoc with blood glucose. Be careful.

LOL, death by juice. Heavens to Betsy.hoosierpete1 wrote:Juicing can wreak havoc with blood glucose. Be careful.
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

You will not die IF you are VERY CAREFUL.
You just have to be careful when you juice. Think about what you are doing. Tread gently. Wear safety gear. Just be careful.
Now really, how is juicing going to wreak your blood sugar levels?
I can see if you went from zero carb diet to suddenly drinking a gallon of pure apple juice at a time, but no one does that.

Many people are borderline type 2 diabetics and don't even know it. Consuming fruit juice and even carrot juice without the fiber to slow absorption CAN cause problems, especially if taken on an empty stomach, smartass. Don't believe me? No problem.

I am sorry. I should not have made light of your public service attempts. It was very nice of you to try and protect potential type 2 diabetics who do not even know they are diabetic.hoosierpete1 wrote:Many people are borderline type 2 diabetics and don't even know it. So for anyone who may be a type 2 diabetic but does not know it, you must be really careful of juicing because fruit and carrot juice can cause problems.
Disregard my above post and remember - Hossierpete has your back!

Thanks for the apology. I can feel your sincerity with every word. Hugs and kisses back 'atcha. Let's get together sometime and we'll throwdown some wheatgrass cocktails. I'll bring an insulin tester just in case.

Who am I you ask? Just someone who was initially trying to offer a bit of advice that some might find helpful. Unfortunately it developed into another internet pissing contest I thought was supposed to be confined to the free speech threads.

Until we ask for advice on how to make a state smell like pig shit from border to border (except for the industrial waste dump that is Gary), we don't need to hear from any Hoosiers.hoosierpete1 wrote:Who am I you ask? Did you introduce yourself and take your whipping? No.

I'll crawl over to free speech and do that tomorrow. This could be the start of a beautiful friendship.
