Finally watched the instructional DVD so I'd thought I'd post a review. The bag itself is really nice. Well made, looks very tough. Feels great to use. Value is relative, but if you like your toys and you can afford it, you won't be disappointed. I've done the key movement, the "spin" or "around the worlds" as Maxwell calls them, with a DB and a towel, a KB and a towel, and sure it works, but this is better. Great grip work.

Like KBs (snatches, CJs) and CBs (mills, swipes), it really does a couple things well and then its just silly. On the DVD he's curling it, doing tricep extensions etc...not the best tool for that stuff. Really good for the spin and I like this sort of throw from shoulder to shoulder, and also a really nice fit for draping on the shoulders if your into hindus, jump sqauts, lunges etc...

Will definitely get a lot of use.

Now that you've handled one how easy do you think it would be to make the equivalent for yourself?

Very. A regular old sandbag with the ends pinched, rolled, or otherwise shaped into grips would do it. It would be ugly, but it work for personal use.

And as a caveat to my review, I'm not sure CBs aren't a "better" way to go for this same ROM. By better, I don't mean better per se, I mean a little more in control. The torque the bag builds I can feel could easily get away from you and tweak a bad shoulder.
