From David Simon and Ed Burns (creators of The Wire). Could go on and on. Won't.
You need to see this. Amazing.

I read about this show and have been dying to see this. But I don't have HBO or Showtime or whatever movie network it's on.

HBO. Wait for the DVDs. I like watching shit better that way anyhow, but I can't wait for this to get to DVD.Mickey O'neil wrote:I read about this show and have been dying to see this. But I don't have HBO or Showtime or whatever movie network it's on.

As you'd expect from The Wire guys, this is a really entertaining show.
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

I wish some guys from the armed services who served in Iraq would weigh in here or eventually. I love the way Simon and Burns try to show the war through the POV of the soldiers (kills happend through scopes and what not).
A couple heavy handed political statements, but overall seems real. But what the fuck do I know?

Interestingly, Fruity Rudy was an actual Recon Marine.

Awesome series from opening moment to final credit. The only thing that kinda stuck out as entirely ham-fisted, was the very last moments of the series. I guess you gotta make some kinda obvious and reductive point in a TV series.
Highly recommended.
