Yeah, I've enjoyed the first two shows.
Jax's mom walks into his room, sniff and says "It smells like dirty socks and pussy in here."
Awesome line.

I saw the first one, I liked it. His mother is evil, I love it.

Great acting and great script writing. I am not pulled in by the plot lines yet but it is growing on me and I think the show will continue to evolve.
Great line in the last episode: "He fucked everything with two pairs of lips" ha ha

Yeah, and just when you started to get a bit sympathetic with the characters, they show they are fucking brutal.

very true and reminds me of the Sopranos in that way.Shaf wrote:Yeah, and just when you started to get a bit sympathetic with the characters, they show they are fucking brutal.

It's OK. A few too many clichès and bad guys with hearts of gold. One tip I can give is to go to the show's forum and look up the threads that list the songs from each episode. I found a band I really like doing that. Check out 'Year Long Disaster', the album rocks.

I didn't see many "hearts of gold" burning that guys club tattoo off last week.
It's very "Hamlet-ish" though.
It's similar to The Shield...Vic Mackey is a cold-hearted motherfucker, yet you root for the bastard, and hope he makes it out alive and well. I mean, as anti-hero cops go, Mackey is one of the most brutal.

Actually they are pretty cool to outsiders as long as they are not playing SAMCRO's game or hurting someone under their protection.Jack wrote:Like most Brits, Gav watches all movies in a piss drunk state, or worse. So his judgment is skewed almost all the time when it comes to entertainment.
The hearts of gold bikers treat humans outside of SamCro like cattle, slaves, or chewing gum wrappers, and that's at best. It's a compelling show, a gang of hateful antiheroes and I don't want any of them to get in trouble. And I never root for bad guys on principle.
Kinda like real bikers there, stay out of their world and they will stay out of yours, stick your nose in their affairs, get your ass stomped like Hunter S. Thompson did.

Yes, he got invovlved in someone else's bizz and the Hell's Angels stomped the shit out of him.Jack wrote:Did Hunter get stomped, what happened?
It's in his book , Hell's Angels.

Yeah, I read that too, Darth-man.

It's also in Sonny Barger's book*. Interesting to read the perspective of the stompee & the stomper.
*Not that I paid for the book, I read Barger's account of HST's stomping in a B&N.
Cliff Notes version - Barger: "HST was a punk."
