Tropic Thunder

Riotously funny. Ben Stiller, who I'm not a big fan of, put together a very funny movie. Everything Robert Downey Jr. did cracked me up.

Robert Downey Jr. seriously deserves an Oscar for his role. His lecture to Ben Stiller on never going full retard was classic. That and cleaning his gun.

I now tell my girlfriend not to go full retard when she has blond moments. It is a tribute to Downey that she laughs.

Saw this last night; kudos to my wife for renting it. I haven't laughed that hard at a movie in a long time. Nolte, Stiller Black, Downey, and (although I hate to admit it) Tom Cruise were hysterical. Cruise's dance at the end killed.

A must-see comedy.

I agree about the movie and about Cruise. I liked the unexpectedness of his character. I even enjoyed Matthew McConaughey who is also on my try to avoid list.

I thought this movie was pretty shitty. Robert Downey, Jr. was funny and a few scenes apart from him were good (the first 15 minutes and simple jack), but this was difficult to sit all the way through.

I love Ben Stiller, but I thought this movie was a mess. There were a few good laughs though (panda), and Downey was great.

If you blinked in the 1990's you missed seeing 'The Ben Stiller Show'. Probably one of the funniest shows ever on TV. So of course, it was canceled it after only 12 episodes.

Worth a rental or purchase if you like Ben.

EDIT...Hell I just found a bunch the skits on youtube.

Here is a little sample guaranteed to make IGxers laugh

That show was great, back when Jenneine was a sweet peice of Alterna chick ass and not a social commentater.

I couldn't sit through the whole thing.

Terrible movie.

I've never thought Ben Stiller was funny in anything (Dodgeball might be an exception). The whole "I'm pretending to be serious while doing something zany!" thing just doesn't work for me.

I agree. My wife and I only lasted about 25 minutes.

The first & last five minutes were pretty funny. The middle...not so much.
