There is no proven evidence that hand injuries or specific occupational exposures lead to a higher risk of developing Dupuytren’s disease although there is some speculation that Dupuytren's may be caused or at least the onset may be triggered by physical trauma, such as manual labor or other over-exertion of the hands.
Interesting. Never heard of it before.
The flesh is weak, and the smell of pussy is strong like a muthafucka.
I don't know if it is this or what I had a football player get, he is at Utah State now. The surgery leaves a button, a real button, on the finger. It's a big deal. I wouldn't, no offense, ask a internet forum for advice about it.
Can one of you xfit lurkers let this guy know to get it looked at very quickly? There is, as I recall, a window of time that you want to get the surgery. I think the ligament continues to shrink down and can't be fixed after a while.
I know on my blog or Q and A or whatever, someone asked about pullups and elbows and I mentioned that older guys get hurt doing them. Some mentioned ART and foam rolling and that is fine, but when you blow something off, it is surgery that seems to help.

My father has those on his hands. He has even had the surgery for it.

I have been trying to browse the message board, but I keep getting redirected to NSFW sites like devicebondage.com and hogtied.com. The sites are really gross. I have tried from two different browsers, so I don't think it is my machine. Any ideas on what the problem is? Thanks/Brian

How mature of the CF forum admins. I'm not a member of that certain forum, but I would think they could find a way to react to what's been going on besides that.
Robert Callahan:
It is not your machine, Links from certain forums to CF forums now are routing to porn sites....

Re: Crossfit has been redirecting me to porn sites
I'm sure there are no links on our site redirecting to bad places; I guess you must mean that there are bad places redirecting you to porn sites. Sorry to hear that - you have to be careful on the internet!
I'll have our tech guys take a look, just in case. See why we ask everyone to be sure to label their links?
You should really check with the tech support of the site Robert referred to.

Dumbass. You blew $2,000 and two weekends just to "see the Kool Aid drinkers in action." I'm not buying that shit. Skip the FSF, skip the intro, and go back to @fit.

Looks like Lynne's tech support been busy. Message board links are now redirected back to the referring site IGX. Too bad, because the kink.com links were much more interesting. Both threads have been closed, but not before it was pointed out that Lynne is a lying bitch. http://anonym.to/?http://www.board.cros ... hp?t=53938
Hi Lynne,
As I'm sure you know, the problem isn't with the other site and it isn't with anyone's machine, it's configured on the CF side. The CF forums are now redirecting incoming links from that other forum to porn sites based on the browser's referrer attribute. This is something that would have been intentionally set up on the CF forums' server. I'm sure it's something that can easily and quickly be sorted out by the server admins; they just need to remove the redirects that they set up.
Since this is set up on your own servers, your statement that you're "sure there are no links on our site redirecting to bad places" is incorrect; those links are in fact on this site.
Really poor form to descend to that level. The other forum is of course immature and full of hate and bile (and humour), but at least it's honest about it.
I hope you'll have the decency and honesty not to delete this thread (though it'll no doubt be locked pretty quickly; can't let the plebs have a discussion that might be at all critical, after all). Whether you remove the redirects is pretty irrelevant since it's fairly easy to disable the referrer tag in most modern browsers, but I'd suggest it would be the classier thing to remove them.
Finally, please delete my account from these forums. I don't want to be associated with a company that chooses to intentionally direct visitors to some fairly sick porn sites; I'd prefer to get my sick porn where and when I choose, thanks.

LOL
Some one fucked up at CF HQ when they decided to have people linking to @fit via Iron garm redirected to porn.

Arms are the only true badge of liberty. The possession of arms is the distinction of the free man from the slave.
As this is a technical issue I thought I would look around.
Lynne: Nick is correct when he says the problem is on the crossfit.com side. Whenever a web browser requests a webpage it can send information about the website the link came from.
When a browser requests a page it is possible for a webserver to return a redirect -- saying "don't look here, go to this site instead" (this is what is at work when you go to contoso.com (WFS) and suddenly end up on www.microsoft.com (WFS) for example).
At this time (Saturday morning). The Crossfit.com site is redirecting webpage requests made with ırongarmx.net as the referrer (*********.net isn't WFS). To see this in action you can use the refspoof addin for firefox -- install it through Tools->Add-ons.
Lynne: From your reply in the previous thread it looks as though you aren't expecting this so I'm worried this is an attack of some sort. Ask the tech people to check your configuration If no-one on your end set this up, either intentionally or by accident, then your site has been comprimised in some way. At that point you will need to change your admin passwords and scrub the site for any backdoors/malware. You should also think about resetting member passwords if there is any risk of them being accessed.
I hope everything is all right and this is just a practical joke by your administrators and that the ********* people haven't hacked in.
Laurion is either a dunce or a @fit sock puppet. Nice cover story for @fit to use.
IGx blamed for the fake hacking of @fit in 5,4,3,2,.....

Actually I rather enjoyed the redirect. Thanks Admin for finding a quality site for all of us to enjoy. It plays well on the iphone for travel also. So, what led you there in the first place?

And as quick as she locks a thread on this, someone dares ask about it again:
It's true. We made sure links from ***, which is obscene and unremittingly hateful, went to porn sites. Surely no one who visits *** will be the least surprised or distressed to arrive in the land of bondage. Anyone suggesting he is upset by what happened is disingeunous. Your friends at x-fit.
Instead you'll get all phony and coy. That's weak.
The funniest part is the absurd passive-aggressiveness of Lyn Pitts trying to "punish" Cultfitters who visit the Garm by redirecting links to what are, for me, "Favorites."
Pitts: "See what happens Cultfitters when you stray from the safety of the herd?? Tut tut!"

I'm wondering the same thing. Was the heat too much for our fat philosopher? Who could ever fill those shoes? I've been looking for the promised web site, but nothing yet. I picture him deep in the bunker, Costco size bag of almonds and beef jerky at his side, preparing for the launch. I will keep an eye out.
If somebody honestly did today's workout, that's impressive. 135 for 15 thrusters followed by a 400 (strangely familiar workout) is serious business. Doing it five times is stunning. My athletes can do three 400s in a day, not in a workout. (Like a track meet)
