Yoga doc was in some of them.

Stand Up is interesting, as it seem to be one of the best ones to use in the morning and has a positive impact for the rest of the day on a lot of other things.

Good points Shaf. I've been using the stand up as just that.

Strength Builder: similar in length to the Fat Burner, but in many ways a combo of the FB and the FB+-- with some significant additions and modifications.

Re the instruction on the Stand Up and the SB-- I found I could do about 90% of the stuff in the original 3 programs just watching and listening the first time. On the SU and SB-- its down to about 80%. If you are familiar with the original programs (or have a background in yoga), you can self correct some positions easily. If not, you will need to read the booklet, or watch the DVDs a few times. You won't injure yourself if you don't though.

The Ignition position is a huge improvement that I really like. It makes it easier to do the isometric part of the program-- and sets the tone for the workout well. The Palm Tree/Touchdown is also vastly improved. DDP instructs it this time so that it is an active position. Definitely some tai chi influence-- if you do it right, you can feel the energy. He does a lot of things with the hands behind the back-- which gives it a more well rounded focus for the shoulders. The original DVDs spend more time on the triangle positions. The SB gives you an improved can opener position as well-- big improvement (note-- nice to have this in the shorter program).

The broken table and broken airplane positions are improved dramatically as well. The counting aspect he brings into it is a nice improvement. The alligator/crocodile variations are nice, and my back loves the variation of the cobra he introduces. You have time to do this too.

SB is much easier on the rotator cuffs than the FB and FB+, and overall the SU and SB work as a supplement to whatever else you are doing than the previous programs. My cuffs didn't like doing the old FB and FB+ on a daily basis-- they have no problems with the current program. Those who liked the positions on your back from the original DVDs will be a bit disappointed- but they are easy enough to add on your own.

Still haven't done the DBL black diamond yet-- but so far the program is a marked improvement from the original programs.

SB is by far my favorite of the new ones, followed closely by SU.

Stand Up this morning was good. Maybe a perfect morning routine for me right now.

DBL Black Diamond:

Nice progressions, it starts quickly, and little down time. Arthur, especially during the black crow, is impressive. Nice focus on keeping heart rate in target zone. Unlike the previous 20, 40, and 60 minute set, the DVDs are not progressive-- each workout is its own thing, and has something to offer on its own merit. He offers plenty of progressions for those at various levels, and demonstrates them-- but each DVD has a different focus on taking the different positions to more advanced levels. For instance, I like the more difficult version of the cobra-- he discusses this in the SB workout, but not in this one. Very nice focus on taking time to get better various positions. This workout is much more difficult (cardio wise) than the other two. The pushup portion of the workout is much better than in the first series of DVDs-- more variations and options. Wherever you are with pushups, he gives you the tools to work on where you need to on this.

The work for the back is a big improvement over the first series. You will have to remind yourself to keep your hips square on certain positions, but not a big deal.
