Just listened to the audio-book on a 12 hr biz trip. Very captivating to listen to. Wish I lived, again, near some mtns. Anyone want to join me in spring for a persistence hunt in Wyoming? I know just the place.

This book is amazing. He draws you in. It makes you want to run. Like you child again.

Barefoot is not so new. I tried it on street, not too bad. Start short distance and you will work up to it. Front of foot must land first, almost the front side edge and rolls toward big toe, heel comes down at end only for brief moment. Our ancestors ran to survive. The either were chasing dinner or being chased for dinner. LOL

If you don't like to read, you will like this. As someone wrote it probably good to give a kid too. Inspiring.

As I recall the book, they had no success at all persistence hunting in North America. They were after antelope. They would chase one for a while, but antelope can run at 45 mph and more, so it'd get pretty far away, then join the herd and mill around with the others so it was difficult, if not impossible, to for the runners to keep track of which animal they were trying to run down.

Antelope have like 10X human vision, that gives them a bit of a head start too. They should have started small, like badgers or something.
