Sweet Thunder: The Life and Times of Sugar Ray Robinson

Post by Dick Cracy »

This is a good book written by a great writer about an amazing guy.
Any time you can read a biography and it comes off more interesting than most novels, hey, there's no going wrong.

The section on his bouts with Jake Lamotta, "An Opera in Six Brutal Acts," is excellent, matter of fact, the whole thing's a good slow-drunk read.

Anyhows, Amazon's got a small preview.

Got this on reserve at the library.
