Outstanding, moving, and worth watching. In April, 2004, casualties mount in Iraq. At Quantico, choices focus on increasing troop strength or only replacing casualties. Lt. Col. Mike Strobl crunches numbers. Stung by his superior's rejection of his recommendation because he lacks recent combat experience, Strobl volunteers for escort duty, accompanying the remains Pfc. Chance Phelps, killed at 19. From Dover to Philadelphia by hearse, from there to Minneapolis and on to Billings by plane, and then by car to Phelps' Wyoming home - person after person pays respects. Kind words, small gifts, and gratitude are given Strobl to deliver to the family on this soul-searching journey. What are his own discoveries?

Re: Taking chance
Watched it yesterday fighting tears and lost. Very heavy movie. Kevin Bacon(Lt. Colonel Mike Strobl) extraordinary job of portrayal.

If you want a crazy Kevin Bacon movie, check out Death Sentence.

One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

Re: Taking chance
If you don't like movies that make you cry like a little bitch, don't watch this.
Simple quiet story full of dignity, love, and respect for the country and the men who serve it. Deceptively powerful film. Not a lot "happens" in this movie, but I found I couldn't look away - which is saying quite a bit considering I usually have a movie running with 6 tabs of internet in the background and my cellphone going. This commanded my full attention, as it should command yours. Watch this.

This.
Re: Taking chance
Saw it...good one. This isn't light-hearted entertainment. Anyone who sees this and isn't moved might be a socio-path.
