SKS

Post by Batboy2/75 »

Not a review really, but a request. I already own 2 SKS style rifles; a Yugo and a Chinese Norrinco sporter that takes AK mags. The Norrico and the rest of my CA no no weapons are in a gun safe out of state for legal reasons. However the Yugo with it's 10 round attached magazine is AOK.

I'm looking for a used SKS for my son. If any of you have one and would like to sell it, send me a PM and we'll talk.

They used to be really cheap at that little gun shop in Escondido off of valley parkway. Had a couple of them and definitely like them alot.

They're getting harder to find dirt cheap. Hopefully some importer will find and import a bunch of C&R military surplus from the former soviet block. There are a lot of former yugos still being imported, but with the greanade launcher they're a no go in CA.

The SKS is by far my one of my favorite rifles- simple, reliable, and a great knock about rifle. Not to accurate past 100 meters, but it wasn 't ment to be.

I remember back in the 1990's, Big 5 had sale on SKS rifles for $69.00. I really regret I didn't buy four of them.

I had a Norenco SKS but it had a problem with cook offs, that's when the fucker goes full auto for a burst and it's not suppossed to do that.

As Bats and many of you know, there is nothing cool about a weapon that does that as one time I pulled the trigger once and let off and it zipped through 10 fucking rounds before it stopped fireing.

I like my weapons to do only what I make them to do, there are no smart guns.

The Bayonet was entertaining when I tried to ram up the ass of a Trespasser who was going over my fence.

You would have loved it Bat's. He was peeking through a window, I came round the side with the SKS, Bayonet fixed. He saw me and started running for the fence. I gave a good old WARCRY and charged at the fucker. He cleared the fence as I stabbed at him and I missed his ass by maybe 6 inches.
