The great part is Sam (comment 6) telling people not to worry about it cause it supports the community:Yes I Have Balls wrote:http://games2010.crossfit.com/blog/2010 ... lay-heats/
And then there's Jerry (11), who has to be a troll:I volunteered all weekend, driving down from SF to support my local affiliate and the people competing and I was willing to give my free time to ensure the continued success of CF as it grows. If you can consider that your $$ supports the same endeavor maybe we can just move on from this and not worry about what you're being refunded or whether or not you'll be refunded.

The Organizers should have put the community first too. The "triplet" (thruster/kb/swing) was held on the beach volleyball court. The just threw stall mats down on the sand and went for it.JohnnyBadAss wrote:The great part is Sam (comment 6) telling people not to worry about it cause it supports the community:Yes I Have Balls wrote:http://games2010.crossfit.com/blog/2010 ... lay-heats/And then there's Jerry (11), who has to be a troll:I volunteered all weekend, driving down from SF to support my local affiliate and the people competing and I was willing to give my free time to ensure the continued success of CF as it grows. If you were stupid enough to pay ANY money to watch dumbfucks exercise outdoors, you deserve to get bilked. How many times do we need to say this??Yes I Have Balls wrote:Northern California sextionals are over. They charged people $50 in advance (and $25 at the door???) to watch. This was the view for most of the event - easily 70m away Then the organizers moved the @fitters FURTHER away and behind a fence 150m away.. . . Now because of so many complaints, the organizers are offering refunds with a receipt.

Your MMA training at 165# will not suffice.
And what fuck decided on this pink bullshit? We have no moderator.
Eventually Boto and POD got tired and went back to the closet. So, we can put up with them and Rant, let it be.

I am not above taking my lumps for being a noob, however, I don't like be confused w/ someone else.
first off: I was taught first hand at the Old 'Murray Institute of Higher Lifting' the nuances of the Frog, in fact, I was given the Blue Singlet for my first wl meet. So I am not some MMA/Crossfit faggot who has become disenchanted with said movement!
As a form of gratitude for the singlet, I, in turn, bestowed my knowledge of the heavy weight to Dan!
So, please get your "Dicks" straight!

Did you stay at the Institute?
Not the same unless you experience the fine dining and spa area.

I used to live behind the Zion curtain only to make the escape to adulthood. So, I never stayed there, however I did drink from the wine fountain and raced the dog!Gary John wrote: Did you stay at the Institute?

I think MMA would be more exciting if they wore masks like luchadors

Just caught wind of a lawsuit against HQ. Apparently a dude that owns an affiliate or two (in one of the Carolinas) is suing Couch. Seems that Couch signed an agreement not to open another affiliate within x miles of this one. Fast forward a couple years and affiliates are sprouting up like polyps in Barry Cooper's colon.
It's supposedly headed to trial, which means it's been brewing for at least a year and a half. Anyone have a bead on this?

Since the placing or time it took you to run 800 meters was irrelevant and the number of squats you did was all that counted, there was some poor strategy going on.

It's the North Carolina former Crossfit now known as Forge Fitness. The same place where that video beatdown of that street tough happened. I heard about it too through the grapevine. Glassman claimed that the affiliate only had an exclusivity for 1 year.
I don't know the dynamics behind MMA type dojos or fighting schools, is that sort of "greenlighting" thing common? I find that kind of sleazy and unclassy.

Elected to Congress in 2002, Sullivan has served his state as a representative...blah blah blah puffery...
And, less than a year ago, Sullivan began the recovery process from alcoholism. With the help of the Betty Ford Center and the camaraderie of his CrossFit communities, he’s come a long way. “CrossFit has helped a lot,” Sullivan said. “It’s a big part of my life now.”
So, he was an alcoholic while in a position of leadership for over seven years. Hmm, sound like anyone we know?
