Sounds like me.Paddy O'Furniture wrote:http://journal.crossfit.com/2010/03/sullivan.tpl
Elected to Congress in 2002, Sullivan has served his state as a representative...blah blah blah puffery...
And, less than a year ago, Sullivan began the recovery process from alcoholism. With the help of the Betty Ford Center and the camaraderie of his CrossFit communities, he’s come a long way. “CrossFit has helped a lot,” Sullivan said. “It’s a big part of my life now.”
So, he was an alcoholic while in a position of leadership for over seven years. Hmm, sound like anyone we know?

Wouldn't controlling affiliates setting up within a certain radius fall into common practices of a Franchise Organization.Shafpocalypse Now wrote:GinMasta
It's the North Carolina former Crossfit now known as Forge Fitness. The same place where that video beatdown of that street tough happened. I heard about it too through the grapevine. Glassman claimed that the affiliate only had an exclusivity for 1 year.
I don't know the dynamics behind MMA type dojos or fighting schools, is that sort of "greenlighting" thing common? I find that kind of sleazy and unclassy.
Shocking that Couch has gotten away with this.
Nevertheless, any opportunity to put Couch on the stand will be sweet.

Good effort, though.

Figgered as much. I can't keep up. This thread already has more pages than any book I've ever read. Or any book sold in Tennessee for that matter.WildGorillaMan wrote:Approximately three hundred pages back, or so.stosh wrote:Has anything from this mini-andro-gallery made it here yet?

You have a link to that vid? I actually set foot in that place a couple times, way back when I was in Mickey Oneil's neck of the woods.Shafpocalypse Now wrote:GinMasta

True story: I borrowed my cousin's '75 Gremlin to go to the senior prom because the floorboards on my '71 Pinto wagon (with fake wood on the sides, but I digress) had rotted out and it was raining and I was wearing a light blue tux and it would've gotten all muddy by the time I got to my date's house. My FM converter had shit the bed, too, and the Gremlin had an 8-track, so I was pretty stylin' that night. Good times, man, good times.Shapecharge wrote:Stoshinator, if you weren't working on your '71 AMC Javelin all the time while jammin' to Foghat you'd be up on this shit.

Just did a quick Goggle of '82 prom pix and found this. Nearly a spittin' image of what stosh looked like back in the day.

Only my date had long blonde hair and we got in a horrible fight and broke up the next day. Bad times, man, bad times. Why y'all making me drag this back up?

Didn't figure you'd dig Foghat. Saw them in '80 and '82. I think. I was drinking a lot back then. Still am, but I was then too.
