If you're a Charles Bronson fan...
...he's at his badass best in this one. Little known film he made in '69. This has all your favorite kinda shit. I actually think it's better than "Hard Times" and much cooler than "The Mechanic" and both of those were great films.

Wasn't the overseas version of that film called Twink or something?

I haven't seen it, but it sounds like the foreign types wanted to highlight some sort of underlying manrammerish undertone.
Are there a lot of camping scenes in the movie? There was another movie from that era like that, it had banjos in the movie too.

Sounds like Roman Polanski would have been a better directorial choice.

This film is so off the hizzook, it couldn't be made today for various artistic and legal reasons.

Well everybody knows Charlie Bronson wasn't much of a character actor, he tended to play characters he could relate to.

Funny, years later I met Susan George and her husband Simon McCorkindale. They were judges at a Miss Universe Pageant in Miami I was working at. Very nice couple. Simon worked with Charley on a movie, Caba Blanco or something like that. They both said they had the best time with him since he approached acting as a job, and felt good getting paid well for something easier than digging coal.
Kind of an odd film.

Shaggy, was Susan George the 'wife' in the movie?
